They’ve been on sale to ST holders since Friday last week, so almost a week now.
In 2019, Bolton Away tickets didn’t go on sale until the day before the game because of their issues at the time and we took 1800-2000, to a similar distance ground, so not sure it’s down to that either.
Has anyone used the NOPM line yet?
Fuck the premier league we’re talking about championship teams. Mark my words everyone on here will watch the match Saturday but they’ll not all travel to Oakwell.
People haven't been used to going to games for a year and a half. At the end of the day it is a product and people get out of the habit. I have no doubts there are some wet excuses, but the club needs to do their bit to get people interested and at the same time make the process painless. So far this season it has been laboured to say the least.
@Earlsdon_Skyblue1, we meet again.
The excuses are coming in thick and fast, so far we’re up to:
- the new away kit hasn’t been released
- fans are at breaking point over season cards. (Ridiculous)
- the club shop was shut
- people want to use their garden BBQs
- the tickets are too expensive
- it’s too far a journey
- you’re only allowed one ticket per account number
- wary of Covid
- the Stone Island brigade are still in Magaluf
- out of habit
- School summer holidays
Surely some of them are getting a bit far fetched by now!? Either way, looking forward to Saturday and hope we can sell a couple more hundred tomorrow.

So is there only supposed to be a single reason?@Earlsdon_Skyblue1, we meet again.

We’ll still take 2K on Sat which is great support.
Blimey back in the premier league days we rarely took big numbers. I remember going to West Ham late 90s on a sunny Saturday afternoon and had less than 800 travel.
Our away followings have increased massively over the years.
I think that is possible if they do pay on the day. If not we are on for 1800 I’d say. Not bad at all, twice as many as Barnsley took to Cardiff last Saturday for example.
I did expect 2500 minimum though.
It's also half the distance

In League 1 pre Covid we could comfortably take 2000-3000 fans most places depending on allocation. Here we have a nice 4000 odd capacity stand at Barnsley and we’ve sold 1500?! Excuses about prices, summer holidays, the new away kit not being out(!) or post-Covid worries would take a few hundred off the following, not several thousand. Come on lads, get buying!
Our average in our last League One season was below 2000, and I'm guessing it was even smaller in the years before that. First away game or otherwise, 1500 for Barnsley seems a reasonable turnout to me. There are plenty of away days I'm looking forward to this year, but Barnsley isn't one of them.
Looking forward to QPR great ground and always reminds me of how Highfield road could have looked. Last time I went there it was some sort of legion reunion and they had to open up the bottom tier as so many turned up to pay on the day.My excuse is I’m rather poor this month, so prioritising QPR game. As I’ve been to Oakwell for what feels like half a million times to see City. Never been Loftus Road.
Will be the lowest we've take there on a Saturday for a long time.

does the fact a fair few Fans claimed they would only go to away games before have any impact as now they can go to home games?
Game was very nearly called off. Police didn't want it to go ahead. Serious safety concerns apparently. This is some sort of compromise. I'm sure people will call bullshit, but this came from somebody senior at Barnsley. They hadn't even told CCFC the game was in doubt.
Spoken like a true Yorkshire gentThey’re not avoiding it, their watching it the way they’ve got used to watching it. And saving a fair few quid doing so.

We took 1,853 there in 2019 on a Saturday when we were pushing for the L1 playoffs.

Doesn't look like we'll match that and we certainly weren't pushing. We had a very minor chance of making it at that point.

really? What were the concerns about?
I don’t see why it matters so much?
Serious structural issues in one of the stands I was told.
We do what we wantIt’s an all ticket game.
