Even for those among you who dint like him, think he's a pr machine and not very bright, you have to surely admit watching him on this UNICEF thing, he is a genuinely global superstar and nice guy.

I think he is a decent guy who does use his global appeal quite well. I get the impression he can't believe his good fortune and wants to experience all he can. At least he hasn't pi**ed his wealth and talent away.

Figo is a suave bastard isn't he? Just strolls in, in his suit.

He doesn't look like he has pulled on a football shirt for a while

Wish Ryan Kent, Lameiras et al would study how Beckham crosses a ball - comes across a decent bloke, and not as full of himself as he might be. Still acted with deference to Sir 'Boss' Alex !

He's the sexiest man alive according to People magazine. Too many tattoos for my liking, not that I'm interested in guys anyway.

Do you really think Ryan Kent studies anything?

Self publicist who is riding the fame train.
Good luck to him. Seems 'nice' so I don't have a problem with it. I just won't be watching anything celebs of any kind do in these manufactured event TV programmes. He and his fellow celebs get no attention or money from me. Hell, I don't even know who the Kardashians are and every time someone tries to enlighten me I say I don't need that in my life.
If you can get fools to fund your adventures and hero worship you then go for it.

Took total advantage of his fame and fair play to him, he was a good player in his time, he loved playing for England and is putting his fame to good use. Never had an issue with becks, true gent in my book

David Beckham is obviously a decent bloke. He's put his fame to good use and deserves all the praise he gets.

England have been shit to mediocre since him and Gary Neville retired from international football. He is the last superstar to pull on an England top and since then the team has just been full of overpaid pre-Madonna's who think they're better than they are because they've been overhyped, Mr Rooney especially.

Passing and crossing ability aside I was never fully convinced by his all round ability but there was never any question about his commitment, hard work and sheer love of the game. He still seems a little bit in awe of himself at times and comes across as a genuinely good guy who wants to give something back. The programme the other night showed this, for me at least, and was not at all the vainglorious superstar spectacle some saw it as.

He's not obviously a decent bloke, at all. That's the beauty of PR and marketing. They make you see a mirage, a glittery effigy of someone you would want to idolise. Then they make you want to buy all of his products, while he grins winsomely at a charity event.

Personally, I can't stand him or his dopey wife; narcissistic, exploitative role models? No thanks.

Amen to that brother. When they did that match at Old Trafford and he brought his son on. Self indulgent bollocks
