Seems very cheap to me relative to our expectations only a few months ago and if true an illustration of both his form this year and his contract is running down ….

TBF (with the exception of Lampard's first win) Sheaf has looked unhappy this season. I think if someone offers £10m he will be off. I might be completely wrong, but he has had the air of someone sulking over not getting a move in the summer. However, I think he has been a really good player for us on the whole and, this season apart, he has a lot to be proud of in terms of his performances.

For a holding midfielder £8m isn’t bad money for this level imo. Think we should wait until the summer though.

I would normally say we should flatly turn that down, he's worth so much more than that

He hasn't shown it though for a long while, so it does actually seem like a fair amount as it stands.

He's been below his best for quite some time now and there's been a succession of sub-par performances, which we can ill-afford.

Where has this rumour come from? Can't see anything online.

He's a very good player going through a bad spell (and he's certainly not alone in that)

Great captain Lati.

Sheaf is a good player but not one that will often hurt the opposition with a killer pass and we need somebody who can do that but I have no idea who.

I’d agree to disagree, he’s out of contract at the end of next season. Not having a great year and has been injury prone. Would want additional adds on based on stuff like Leeds going up.

But a base fee of £8 million would be just about right for me.
£8 million would be just about right for me too, but what about the club?

Really the money ought to go to them, oughtn't it?
