Hindsight is a wonderful thing, we probably should have cashed in on Sheaf in the summer

I can understand why we didn't though, after losing COH on a free flogging Sheaf would have gone down like a lead balloon at the time, that is something that is completely undeniable whatever anybody says now

If Stamenic and Browne would have happened I am sure Sheaf would have been sold

In good faith, I would be happy to do one if it you wanted to rephrase it as a regular premier league starter or something like that.

I think he probably will play for a better team than us, but that is also a reflection of our own troubled waters!

I think he'll go to either a newly promoted PL club or a top-end Championship club in the summer.

Interestingly at 1 nil up. Now I'm not saying he was great, I'm not saying it wouldn't have happened if he'd remained on, but before everyone wants him out being one of the latest boo boys, let's see some incoming, because the rest of our midfield don't offer much.

thought Sheaf played well today.

Eccles is a spineless inept cretin. Said the second he was coming on to be our strong midfield enforcer at 1-0 up that we’d go on to lose the game

He is not in good form but he's far superior to Eccles and we better hope he isn't out for long

I hope Doug in his interview asked FL how do you build a successful squad within this league and how long does it take to do it. Because this is a rebuild we have certain elements of how too, but lack desperately in Leadership and Organization on the field. The squad looks so unbalanced and that needs solving. I hope FL has the answers and Doug can provide the support because at the minute we are swimming in circles.

We need 3 vocal leaders who will grab games by the scruff of the neck and control the tempo and momentum of games. Once you get this you can go get young energetic hungry players and wrap them around these leaders. At the minute im not shocked Lampard goes round hugging the players he notices that this group doesn't have that type of role model within.

If Holding and Wagner are targets i see why and would be a good start but we need a few more older heads in. And if Sheaf is gone for a few weeks that CM needs addressed because we were lacking when he was fit nevermind when he is sitting in the stands. Big job has now turned into a massive task of turning this round.

It was never a long term solution but watching Dennis Wise and Don Hutchinson play for City was instructive. You could see them constantly using their experience to drag the team with them

Every successful team in the history of the game has had a mix of a few elements but what it has always been a constant is leadership and organization on the field, this we simply don't have.

The same Pod that suggested earlier this season we drop Wright, flog him for £2m, because BTA was the better option ????

Never listened to it. But potential inside info is different to a (shit) opinion.

Injury has probably come at a really bad time from the clubs perspective. I would assume no serious bid in the summer, which would be worth selling him for, due to recent injuries. And 1-year left on his contract, so he has the option to not extend if he doesn't like the terms, and run down his contract.

I’d imagine Sheaf will go in the summer unless he’s willing to sign a new deal. Not convinced he will.

Any "option" is usually in the clubs favour.

I can imagine a team like Southampton being relegated will then make a move for Sheaf.

That hopefully would not be a desirable option as it would mean stepping down a division

Only if they lose decent players they have who perform a similar role
