Another Three And A Half Years For Turner
Coventry City central defender Ben Turner is to be offered the chance to extend his contract with the club for another three and a half years.
The 22 year old Coventry City academy graduate has played more than 80 games for Coventry since he made his debut as a 17 year old in 2006 and has blossomed this year into a vital member of Boothroyd's revitalised team.
Turner has scored four goals for City this season as well as being a stalwart in the middle of a very mean defence, but has been out of action for seven weeks after damaging his knee ligaments against Leeds.
City boss Aidy Boothroyd was full of praise for the big defender saying to the CT, "I can only talk about this season, but Ben has matured into a magnificent player."
"He's got the size, the ability in the air and he's tidy with his feet as well. With his talent and physical presence he's a guy that can go on and become very, very big in the game."
Boothroyd is now hoping that with Turner committing himself to the club until the summer of 2014, it will help encourage Westwood and Gunnarsson to follow suit and agree to sign their new contracts.

Good signing, from this season I have no doubt Turner can play in the Premiership, he reminds me of Scott Dann this season. Getting him on a long contract before there is interest in him is well done to CCFC.

Ben's a brilliant young player and is vital to AB's first team, hope he returns from injury soon as his presence is deff missing in defence.
