I've also been to all 5 Wembley games up to now but got to miss this one as, due to a significant birthday, I'm being taken to Switzerland by train on Saturday, 20th April. Absolutely gutted but the only way I could make Wembley would be a total, country wide and Eurostar strike ! Oh well... I'm sure I'll enjoy the Glacier Express
Looking like I won’t be going to Wembley, but want a bit more atmosphere than my front room provides.
Where is good to watch big games like the SF in Cov? Would need to be somewhere I can guarantee a seat for my Dad and ideally not loads of kids.
I’ve heard the Empire (sounds like loads of kids but am open to it), the Tavern (seems small, could I get a seat?), didn’t one of the cinemas show the Leicester game? What’s that like?
Would love to hear from people who have watched some of the recent games somewhere other than Wembley or at home.
Really sorry to hear you’re unable to make the game mate, we came up for the Rotherham game & usually go casino pre-game, got talking to a guy in the city centre & he told us to give Dhilons brewery a look.
Was really good tbh, 4 or 5 different bar/serving areas with plenty of choice on offer, loads of seating and a massive screen, busy-ish but atmosphere was a little subdued but it was Rovrum on a Tuesday night.
Would imagine for a big game such as this the place will be absolutely bouncing, if I wasn’t able to go the game I’d probably travel up and go here.
Wherever you & dad decide to go, hope you both have the best time watching it together
Just make sure you make your ticket allocation to CITY fans, if you purchase that is, I'll take two off you if your interested for family who can't make many trips due to partners with dimentia and other factors?
