Can't think it's much of a subject matterJust finished The Peripheral. Bit confused at times, but overall, I really liked it.
I'm not sure, but I know I had to go to the outskirts of Bedworth to watch it.Can't think it's much of a subject matter
The Paris outer ring road?
Just watched the first 3 episodes of the Tulsa King. Aging mafia guy (Stallone) shipped off to Tulsa having been inside for 25 years after taking the rap for his boss.
Bit slow to start but warming up nicely.
I don't quite hold it in that kind of exaltation, but I do really, really like it.Really - really - looking forward to The Detectorists feature-length special on Boxing Day. One of the finest comedies of the modern era.
I know 'comedy' is subjective, but it's there if you look for it, but the overall themes of the whole shebang make it a must-watch whether you find the funny stuff funny or not.
Pure brilliance from Mackenzie Crook.
Oh I've seen that. He's on a coffin all the way through?Buried | Rotten Tomatoes
A civilian truck driver in Iraq, Paul Conroy (Ryan Reynolds) falls victim to a band of insurgents. An unknown length of time later, Paul awakes in a coffin, with little more than a lighter, a cell phone, and his ever-growing anxiety. Really good movie, and related to our 3rd round opponents this season.
Whiplash (Netflix) - Crazy old music teacher man nearly sends young drummer insane. Didn’t think I’d enjoy a movie about drumming but really did.
Thats probably one of my top ten movies.

See, I had the exact opposite response…I read the reviews, thought I’d love it…turns out I thought a film about drumming was absolute shite.Whiplash (Netflix) - Crazy old music teacher man nearly sends young drummer insane. Didn’t think I’d enjoy a movie about drumming but really did.

For similar responses see Black Swan.
Watched The Thing (the one with Kurt Russell) again the other night. It’s still great.

Heard lots of good things about S2 of The White Lotus - watched the first season and was pretty underwhelmed, but have heard the second is much better. Is it worth bothering with?
1899 (Netflix). Two in at the moment and I have no idea what's going on. Very ambitious, with a number of languages being spoken by the cast.
Hasn't quite got the depth of 'Dark' yet, but shaping up nicely.
Also, finished the latest 'The Boys' (Amazon Prime) last night. If you liked Deadpool but would prefer something even less 'Marvely', then this is the show for you (not one for the kiddies though).
A bit ago, series 3.Is that a new series of The Boys or the one that was out a bit ago?
