Godden has 4 already. Not scoring a headed goal as a striker is pretty poor even O’Hare has one. He could be let off if he scored goals with his feet but unfortunately they’re a rarity too.
There’s a weird cult that defend Max no matter what it’s strange. Shipley gets nowhere the amount of defence despite getting twice the grief and being twice the player of Max
Max did score one against gillingham in the league cup tbf, also pretty sure his first goal for us in the JPT was headed. He should still do better though.Godden has 4 already. God your a dumb as him.
I think you will find Godden has 3 in the league.
Thays like me saying Ohare is shit as he's only scored one goal this season with either foot.
Our strikers over last 4 years score hardly any! Probably about 7 or 8 max in total.

So how many have others got betweenGodden got league headers against, Oxford, Rotherham, Tranmere and Qpr.
Biamou barely score at all. Headed goals are a clear weakness.
So how many have others got between
Hiwula,McNulty,Nazon, JCH. Baka , Chaplin? Add Godden and Walker.
like I said we scored over 4 years in about add the total of everyone it's single figures.
He makes a point like Biamou is so far behind in terms of headed goals.
Ffs get a grip . OUR STRIKERS HARDLY SCORE ANY HEADED GOALS. Add all those strikers goals lol.
What a dumb argument.

Hiwula (played mostly as a winger) - 1
McNulty (one season) - 3
Nazon (half a season) - 0
Clarke Harris (basically one season) - 2
Bakayoko - 2
Chaplin (are we really comparing 5’7 Chaplin to 6’2 biamou / one season) - 2
Godden (basically one season) - 4
Adam Armstrong didn't score a single header and got 20 goals that season. Awful player.

His first ever goal for us was a header in the FA Cup. But that don't count either.
He can't head it.
JCH, Hiwula, Baka, Chaplin, McNulty, Nazon, Jones, Walker a

The guy was supposed to be 4th choice striker this season. If we are serious about actually progressing then there’s no room for being sentimental and double standards, because that’s all it is at this stage.

So over a period of 4 years, all our strikers would have scored a fair share of headers. Super Max has 0.
Not trying to be arsey but what does Max bring to the team do you think?
Also just because we disagree doesn’t make me dumb.
Mmmmmmmhe brings a selfie

All also if course have played less games than biamou
Have they all played less minutes than Biamou? All also if course have played less games than biamou
Of course if anything it proves our point.
I just want to understand what people see as his strengths as goal scoring of any kind isn’t it
I’m not Max’s biggest fan. However you seem to have an agenda against certain players, such as the ridiculous Matty James thread. I personally would not offer Max a new deal as I don’t particularly rate him as a centre forward. But when he’s on the pitch I still want him to do well because it benefits the team, same with other derided players such as Shipley and Allenhe must hold the record in the history of the club to wear the number 9 shirt without a headed goal - it’s extraordinary the lengths people go to defend him

Troy Deeney said Watford’s game plan centred around stopping James from playing. He got man of the match. He also captained the team and our midfield looks stronger with him in it. It’s fuck all like Ollie NorwoodWithout speaking for him on the James issue, the point is that as good as James is, he may not be the player we need right now. If we were to go down, the signing screams of Ollie Norwood.
I would love Max to score in every game from now to the end of the season. I would love any player to. However, I want the players picked that have the best chance of doing so and that is not Max.

There’s been posts about wanting him to have your back in the trenches, it’s mind bending stuff.
My point is a professional footballer who’s played lots of games in the top flight singled out a player who ‘flatters to be deceived’ . I trust his opinion and the opinion of our manager over a couple of know it all’s on an Internet forumTroy Deeney was the one tasked with dropping deep to pick him up as in the 4-4-2 no one would naturally do so. That’s the reason Deeney brought it up. Had they interviewed the left back I’m sure he wouldn’t have.
That might be the case but what I’m saying is, if we were to go down, results won’t have improved with James in the team and questions will rightfully be raised as to why the funds were not focussed elsewhere. Just like the Norwood signing. He was an improvement on our midfield but he was not the type of player we needed.
I hope that isn’t the case and James’ performances lead us to safety.

What centre forward would we have been able to sign to score the goals we are currently missing? Kelly is out for a while and recently Sheaf got injured. Had we not signed James our midfield would be significantly weaker as a resultWhy when someone raises a differing view they get called ‘dumb’ or a ‘know it all’?
I think flatter to deceive kind of sums it up. He looks great but ultimately results are the same we still struggle to score goals. James is a top player and if we stay up fantastic we won’t regret the signing.
If we were to go down, it’s likely that we would.

I don’t see how signing a quality player that improves the team can be considered anything other than a positive. Would people rather we didn’t sign a quality player? I don’t get the rationale. I think the manager knows more about what is needed than Grendel doesPersonally I wouldn’t have gone for a centre forward but that’s a different argument.
Yeah the Sheaf injury has meant James is needed for the next few weeks. I think you’re assuming I don’t agree with the James signing. I’m saying that if results decline, then questions will need to be asked. I think that’s what G is getting at

I respectfully disagree with youIf the manager always knows best then there’s no point for this forum really. Everyone has different opinions managers get things right and wrong.
If results decline (as they have since he’s signed) then it won’t have improved the team will it. That’s exactly the point. We needed quality in other areas more urgently in my eyes. If we stay up then it won’t matter really, if we go down that’s where the issue will be
