A lot might not agree with me but ive always thought Mcnultys a bit overrated... dont get me wrong he was very good in the last third of the season for us some great finishes, but i always thought he found his level at L2 and isnt good enough a footballer to do it again at L1 level. Frankly i dont believe he's good enough for the championship but i guess time will tell.
We dont want players who dont wanna be here so lets get the maximum we can for him, sign Chaplin (if rumours true) get Andreu and Jones back who are both miles more important IMO and have a go next season

I agree a bit, to jump from L2 to Championship is a big thing. Armstrong looks good in L1 and when he came back to Blackburn 2nd half of last season he was good, but in the Championship he struggled, I would expect McNulty to struggle there too.
Thatcher won hands down. She created a greedy self centred society, and unfortunately we can never go back. There's a fine line between greed an ambition.

Source?Just been told he's gone!

It was somebody close to the club, take it with a pinch of salt.
Also heard that the agent is apparently leaking things to the press to make sure it is through.
Again, take it with a pinch of salt.
He's right though. Our political views differ widely so I'll stop this here.
I like him a lot, but he is going to find it so much tougher in the Championship.
Not at all convinced he will be a big success there.
Yeah, fair point. His biggest issue is that he's not an athlete whatsoever. This is why I think he'll struggle.
I'd be completely pissed off and massively deflated if this is the case. £1.5m is nothing and doesn't guarantee replacing 28 goals. Has any team at any level ever gone on to have a good season after selling their top scorer?
How much money do you realistically think we can hold out for a 25 year old striker who’s only really proven in L2? Every player has a price — even Christiano Ronaldo is set to leave Madrid.
That’s more than we sold Jutkiewicz and Leon Clarke.
Yeah, fair point.
He would have to get a lot fitter and sharper.
And Doyle is 36, does that male him any less of a player? He’s 30 though
Sources tell me he's said his goodbyes to all the players at Ryton. He's gone.
Shame, I'd of liked him to stay but if the £1.5m reports are true, he's replaceable. Personally I'd use it to get McGoldrick back. Pretty much Garunteed (fully fit) he'll smash 25+ goals in a full L1 season! I'm sure he'd come back too. Especially with his wife wanting to stay around the Midlands.

A footballer's career is very short & McNulty is at his peak earning point right now
He did a great job for us last year even though a minority were giving him stick early on
I suspect Robins will have something lined up
Won't be surprised if we see a prolific, experienced striker at League 1 level coming in now
The team is full of pace in contrast to last season so we will be a big attraction for the best players at this level
No your right. When you relegated or standing stagnant you fully expect to lose a few players in the summer. But after a promotion, with a team so close, it comes as a surprise when somebody leaves. Especially (like with this instance) the player has tried to speed it along.Dissapointing. He had become a firm fan favourite and I didn't expect it to end after 1 year. A promotion year at that.
It is a bit rich seeing fans complaining about ‘loyalty’ when where was the loyalty towards McNulty when he wasn’t in fine goalscoring form? We’ve got an archive of threads and comments even as far as January saying we needed a ‘natural goalscorer’.
With the fee involved, I’m not that annoyed because it’s about fair and should give us extra wriggle room in the transfer market. There’s no guarantees he’d do that well in L1 anyway — Marquis who scored 26 the year before scored 12 in L1 last season. But it goes without saying that I’d be sad to see him go, but that’s football.

Yes I know. Still, with a full pre season and managed properly I can see it working. It's a different league to the championship played at a different pace so could maybe suit him?!?! Who knows. I'm no manager, just saying I'd take a punt on himThe brackets bit is the problem - if that were the case, others would have been in for him.
What the fuck are you talking about? Robins stayed loyal to him despite his non-scoring form, as did most of the fanbase (a few comments on social media isn't the end of the world). This is how he repays that faith. It leaves a very very sour taste for me.
