Will the sacking, sorry resignation of Steve Waggott and the immediate hiring of this Chris Anderson mean a bit more dosh for Mowbray and Venus to strengthen our squad in January, or even before ? Lets be honest that's what most us fans are interested in.

How do you know that SW has to be paid off. Negotiations must have been going on with Anderson for weeks. Maybe SW has just been working his notice period without it bring common knowledge. TM and MV have stated that have had discussions with Anderson so has been carefully thought through. I would say very professionally handled.

If Waggott was as good at negotiating his own deal as he was at doing it for the players last year he has probably had to pay the club to go.

The change in CEO is not going to change the sources of income available to the club. Prime driver of that is the success or not of the team. So in short dont see how it improves the budget short term

He might bring new ideas but any significant change in income sources will take time to feed in

But that does depend on whether he resigned or was sacked/asked to leave. If he resigned he won't be entitled to any pay off surely? Do we know if he was pushed or jumped?

For all we know he may have gone for family reasons, illness, etc and that this has been known by Club for a couple of months or so.

I do agree with you and OSB though, this doesn't mean any more /extra money / income streams, etc. Think Rupert is adding 2+2 together and getting something other than 4.

I guess that will depend on the terms of the contract. I would say I guess time will tell but we'll probably never know one way or the other I guess.

Note to Grendel, Yeovil winning this league a few seasons back on a small budget was a statistical aberration, this can happen.

You are right mate, it depends on how you leave. Say if i leave my job and go back to the UK, i cant turn around and say to my employers i want money to leave. On the other hand, if my employers say to me that they are hiring a new person in my position and want me to go, a severance pay will be worked out ( unless it states in your contract that depending on X amount of years you are entitled to X amount of pay off). Reading SW comments though it seems to be his choice as he wanted to move closer to his family. Maybe he was planning on leaving, handed in his notice and
during that timed period they found a suitable replacement, therefore he would now be on gardening leave for the remainder of his notice.

Still don't see how this changes anything. Sisu have thrown good money after bad, and have said they won't put any more funding in.

This is a well known fact, which I'm sure has been pointed out to them on a number of occasions. They won't get back to the boom or bust model.

It's not likely. They would have done a joint press conference.
