How many votes will there have to be to put the breaks on the season being voided?
I think 75% need to agree on an option
I bloody hope Fleetwood go up, one in the eye for the “big” clubsNot so sure bigger clubs in League One can generate much noise at all, to be honest.
They are League One clubs. We are not talking about Man U and Chelsea and Liverpool here.
Oxford, Peterborough, Fleetwood? I bet the EFL are quaking in their boots.
And besides, if we are talking bigger clubs, Rotherham and the City have to be included in that too.
If 75% is the required consensus, why isn't it for concluding the season PPG as we've passed the 75% stage of games completed?I think 75% need to agree on an option
Looks like a bit of a break away in league one led by Darragh MacAnthony Peterborough chairman – Six clubs Oxford - Sunderland- Fleetwood- Ipswich- Portsmouth & Peterborough have already got together and voted that the season gets finished before the meeting starts (9.30am this morning) 5 out of these 6 clubs are the bigger clubs in our league and feel they have a voice – It seems they are saying there should be is no time limit and dates but basically their case is that when it is safe to do so which technically could be next year – What they do forget 1400 players in league 1 & 2 are out of contract end of June –This idea seems a non – starter as half the clubs in league 1 & 2 might be out of business before these games are concluded
To pacify some of these loud noise clubs It might be that
(1) The season maybe concluded behind closed doors as long as training starts on May 25th – (cannot see this)
(2) The top 8/10 might well have a competition for promotion
(3) Top 2 go up and say the final 8 below have a short competition for the final promotion spot
(4) Season Null and void nobody up or down
I bloody hope Fleetwood go up, one in the eye for the “big” clubs
10:08 - Potential PlayOffs!
The EFL have confirmed that even if the L1 and L2 season is decided via PPG or weighted PPG, they still want to do the play offs in each league to decide the final promotion spot!
Games would be behind closed doors and potentially at neutral grounds!

Just get the teams to vote on this and be done with it.
will require 75% vote to pass it. Can’t see any scenarios being agreed by 75%. Expect no decision today.
Where is this information coming from, @AFCCOVENTRY?10:08 - Potential PlayOffs!

EFL Zone twitter account I believe - Just guess work from the account - the timeline does not represent the meeting currently going onWhere is this information coming from, @AFCCOVENTRY?
Understand the estimated figure for COVID-19 testing per club will be around £140,000.
That is a huge amount for most clubs, especially with very limited income.
Sure, some clubs in L1 and L2 can afford it, but it isn’t fair to force others to when they can’t.
If they have the playoffs with PPG surely those lot can’t complain?
Squad size I suspectWeird that the numbers for Championship are just over the £210K mark and L1 is £140K. What's the reason for this?
The EFL should just make the decision themselves rather than pissing about
Straight majority next meeting isn’t it ?

In the event of a curtailment of the season, the EFL Board outlined how this could be addressed through a framework that includes maintaining the principle of promotion and relegation, league tables to be determined via unweighted points per game (PPG) and Play-Offs to remain in every division to determine the final promotion place.
To combat the suggestion that teams could manoeuvre into play-offs, just have an 8 team knockout tournament. 3rd to 10th - QF, SF and Final. Neutral venues - one tie only.
Not really, Fleetwood are another in an artificially high position on account of a wealthy benefactor. It's one in the eye for clubs attempting to live within their means.
Not really sure I’d include Liverpool and Man Utd in that list ,A bit like Man City, Man Utd, Liverpool, Leicester and Blackburn over the years then ??
Not really sure I’d include Liverpool and Man Utd in that list ,
But you can definitely stick Chelsea and Bournemouth in there.
