Isn't he just rubbish and won't get picked?

What could it realistically be? He's said its not hepatitis. You would assume it has to be something that carries a danger of being passed on to another player for this situation to occur.

Hope this isn't going to be the end of his career. Wouldn't be a nice way for things to go.

I think you are right Samo. So many African kids now living in the UK have HIV because this country is one of the only countries in the world that offers free care. Something I am proud about NOT like Farage who sees it as a national scandal. I have been helping one lady from Africa who is raising a neice of 12 who is HIV. The kid's parents died of it and the child was only recently told. Can you imagine being told that. I PRAY FOR BIGI

I happen to know the actual policy with regards to Farage, UKIP and HIV (I like to know my facts before spouting off)

Free treatment for those in UK (legally or not) and provide foreign aid for disaster relief (including disease outbreak including HIV and Ebola). I.e., UK foreign aid to be given directly in terms of HIV drugs rather than money (which often doesn't get to where it is intended to go). Any contagious disease needs to be treated at source and giving treatment, education and medical training in Africa is better than encouraging people to leave their homelands.

We need to have a worldwide push on treating HIV, the drugs are available and a co-ordinated effort could realistically work.

I am confused about how it's ok to speculate if he has HIV on a public forum but saying he isn't a very good footballer is massively unkind?

you've concluded that samo is indeed right and the chap has HIV, because we have "free" healthcare over here.

I see.

In context, I fail to see how you fail to see.

I know. Mad isn't it?

Not really. If you were compassionately discussing a colleagues ill-health at work and someone's contribution was 'yeah but he's a twat though', would you not think it a little inappropriate or at least ill-timed? It might be true but in the circumstances, that is hardly relevant.

I agree. I think a lot of people miss the point that you don'r HAVE to say everything you think. Often these people excuse themselves by saying 'well at least I'm genuine, you have to take me as you find me' - no, you're just inconsiderate.

Nothing meant here about previous posts - just adding some thoughts on life.

If it was meant that way it would be true. But a bad illness doesn't stop him from continuing his point against the few who said he would be worth 20m. Utter trash posting.

Yup. There are those people who are honest and straightforward and are described as traight talkers. There are others who describe themselves as such but are just plain spiteful. They'll say something downright cruel and then say 'well, you know where you stand with me'.

I'd say suggesting people have HIV without actually knowing, on a public forum was a little in-compassionate though. What happens when that goes into Google? Then it hits Twitter, what if it isn't true?

It's like discussing somebody's sexuality at work without knowing and then being offended when somebody says they have BO.

I merely speculated in response to a thread posted by someone else. Do you honestly think nobody else would have if I hadn't? Perhaps you should have closed the thread if you thought it less than compassionate Nick?

I am not the one moaning about people being out of order for saying he isn't good at football though but discussing something quite personal like that about him.

I reckon Samo has got gout.

I suspected as much. He hasn't played for any big clubs as far as I know. When he yet again failed to get a game at the end of the season I thought 'Must be gout'.

That would be true if it was what he meant. But we all know that it wasn't. What you should have said is they are all out of order. Now it looks like you are defending Grendel again.

Maybe that is why he isn't worth 20m.

You are whiter than white in that regard are you Nick? Shall I have look back through some threads?
I think the thread was about concern for the lad, I just thought it seemed inappropriate to put the boot in. Can you not see that?
