I am doing some research on former Coventry City player Billy Humphries.

Billy was a Northern Ireland international who signed for Coventry from Ards in April 1962.

I am basically looking for a list of all the games he played in for Coventry (date and opposition).

Could anyone put me in the right direction as to whom I could contact to find this information out, like a club statistician?

Any assistance would be much appreciated.

Surely you must mean WILLIE Humphries - better known to us older fans as "Wee Willie!"
WILLIE HUMPHRIES was Jimmy Hill's first signing as manager of Coventry City in April 1962.
A right winger with mesmerising skill and a superb cross, the Belfast boy started his career with Ards in the Irish League and had a brief, unhappy spell at Leeds in 1958.
Hill had to use all his persuasive skills to tempt 25-year old Willie, who had won his first full cap two weeks previously, back to the mainland.
Once back he terrorised Third Division left backs and was a major force in City's 1963 FA Cup run and the following year's promotion drive, both making and scoring goals.
Have a look at this link.... http://www.wix.com/coventrycity/coventrycityplayersofthe60s and also this one (ex-City players site) ... http://www.ccfpa.co.uk/
There is also another site but you need to become a member of it to read all the info...... http://www.highbeam.com/doc/1G1-125412327.html
Hope this helps.

Many thanks Houchens Head. The links are very helpful indeed. Mr. Humphries was always called Billy when he played in Northern Ireland for Ards but when he played for Leeds United, Coventry City and Swansea Town they knew him as, and prefered to call him Willy.

I have been able to gather all the Coventry City statistics for Willy thanks to club historian and statistician Jim Brown who has been most helpful.
