cool, but you are not everyone.I'm bound by those rules and see no problem at all with binmen going home once they've finished their round, apart from pure spite why would somebody care?
You get paid more for performing more tasks than you are contractually obliged so it'd still be a thing
Yeah I don't get that. Surely agile working comes into play anyway nowadays with the other roles? This equal pay stuff is mental. Who cares if a job is paid by task or by hour? (Other than Nick) And how is that not equal pay?
I'd assume informally the same as now will happen anyway? Most of us have accepted we are losing task and finish , I personally don't think a strike will happen ..
We will just go slower and finish later , no issues
Surely a decent manager just says carry on as you are, we'll say nothing? We will just go slower and finish later , no issues
Surely a decent manager just says carry on as you are, we'll say nothing?
I mean, until this report I hadn't even realised it was a thing anyway
Task and finish is in our contracts , not for much longerSurely a decent manager just says carry on as you are, we'll say nothing?

Not sure how you would define the exact number of tasks per contract as opposed to hours though. (In wider industries).
Surely if everybody at work is finishing a few hours early every day then everything is done and there isn't any need for over time?
That doesn't matter for what a manager can say. Contacts don't have to be adhered to literally unless somebody demands thatTask and finish is in our contracts , not for much longer
isn't the issue that female council staff members are using it to put equal pay claims in?That doesn't matter for what a manager can say. Contacts don't have to be adhered to literally unless somebody demands that
That's not what I'm saying. I'm saying change your contract, management say carry on as you were anyway, everybody's happy.isn't the issue that female council staff members are using it to put equal pay claims in?
Male and female but yesisn't the issue that female council staff members are using it to put equal pay claims in?

change to what? if they go home early it opens up the equal pay claimsThat's not what I'm saying. I'm saying change your contract, management say carry on as you were anyway, everybody's happy.
change to what? if they go home early it opens up the equal pay claims
It doesn't if it's management's decision to not notice that happening!change to what? if they go home early it opens up the equal pay claims
how do you do that when someone is investigating a legal pay claim into it?It doesn't if it's management's decision to not notice that happening!
Honestly lads I love my job good pension 4 days a week always home at night with the kids and decent pay ..I'm good , @Tommo1993 will tell you , its a good place to work
The contract changes, they work under a new contract...how do you do that when someone is investigating a legal pay claim into it?
They're all getting council contracts over the next few weeks .I miss it a lot mate. Gutted they couldn’t contract the last of us for a little bit longer. Just couldn’t live on that uncertainty.
They're all getting council contracts over the next few weeks .
Tom White going pretty much
When I was a teen I was told there’s a waiting list to become a bin man, is that true? Is it a hard job to get into?
