These stats could be better but again they could be worse
According to this on average ratings our top 3 players in games they have played this season areYeah, go here and sort by xGF (expected goals for):Infogol
We’re 16th. For expected goals against were 21st
I'll go for 12 ?!
I reckon if we sign Ostigard and a left footed Center back or two we should be ok next season defensively and they can only get better and to have quality cover like Fadz would be solidFor me it says we need a better defence that gives away fewer chances and our main strikers fit.
Which is hardly mind blowing news.

Bakayoko is probably 0 not because he scores all the time and not because he has no shots but because everyone expects him to not scoreBiamou's average xG is the highest in the squad, which shows he's at least getting in the right positions. If he was younger I'd say there was something to work with, but he's not.
Interesting to see he has third highest average rating in the squad on infogol though. Assume that's statistics based?
I hope notI would be really surprised if we signed Ostigard. Listening to him speak, he is really ambitious.
He'll be knocking on the door to play at Brighton, if not I reckon he will go to a top division somewhere.
You rarely lose 6 in a row. Something has to give. Will be difficult game this unless we start very brightly. let them get into any kind of stride and they are capable of good results. Go after their weaknesses. Left back, central defenders.
Confidence is a big thing here. Draw the most likely outcome and I'd take that. Just don't bloody lose again. Might be the game to add james in midfield, close them down and play just one up top.
Remember that gameWe've not lost at Blackburn since 1997 (4-0 defeat where Dublin was sent off early on for an alleged elbow on Colin Hendry, I was there), albeit having only played there 5 times since (2 x Premier League and 3 x FA Cup)

I am slightly suprised but would be interested to get Grendel's scholarly perspective on this!

When he never touched him! Apparently it's because there was intent.
Not long after a United player blatantly swung an elbow at someone and never got sent off because he never made contact.
Not that I'm still bitter about over 20 years later.
O’Hares is higher.
It does sound very much like Mowbray at Cov 15/16, an array of attacking talent (Armstrong, Jacob Murphy, James Maddison, John Fleck, Ruben Lameiras who all play in the top flight in England and abroad now) but by this stage of the season it'd been worked out.I rarely end up on opposition forums, but as I signed up last weekend regarding the training ground situation up at Rovers I thought I might as well post a quick view.
Our problems are currently down to poor management of the squad and the tactics we are trying to employ. We have brought in a ton of midfielders but up front wasted big money (£12 mill) on Brereton and Gallagher. For whatever reason, Mowbray doesn't like buying defenders. We started the season with 3 of the back 4 that got us relegated in 2017 and have never brought in much additional cover. A couple of injuries meant that on Wednesday night we had Jared Banthwaite (18yo - on loan from Everton and Harwood-Bellis (19yo - on loan from Man City) as our centre back pairing. As promising as they may be, they are young, inexperienced and had a hand in all 3 goals we conceded. i would imagine if Lenihan is half-fit he will be back in defence.
What we can be is very good on the break. I think in the reverse fixture you tried to come at us and it played into our hands. What we can't do is break teams down. We do not put balls into the box but prefer to tikka-tikka our way to goal. Unfortunately the players we have aren't good enough, so we end up with a lot of posession but doing very little. If you look how many goals we started the season scoring compared to now you can see oppositions managers have sussed us out.
If you are too open I think we will probably score a couple as there is enough attacking talent with Armstrong, Rothwell, Dolan and Elliot (ridiculously composed for a 17 year old. He probably lacks pace to be the superstar he gets touted as but he's going to be very, very good). However if you sit back, but any chance you get try and put pressure on the back line you will force mistakes and may get some joy from a team completely lacking in confidence ( or one which has simply downed tools)

We too had injuries at the back and mostly used sub standard players or young loanees.

Waxing gibbousThe score would be useful as well.
Oh and also the phase of the moon
What are the odds of the two kids playing at the back tomorrow? - and are there any rumours at to which names Mowbray will pull of of his hat and throw at the tactics board tomorrow (as you lot have alluded to on your forum!) Has he also been playing AA out wide??
