What the fuck is going on?!! Without stating the obvious, I now make that Adams, Christie, Murphy, Marshall, Moussa plus the loan signings who have left our already thread bare squad! I seem to remember pressley naming him as an unsung hero during the season. Think this is to do with "bonuses" to Sunderland imo

Of course it is!

Sunderland were probably due around £100k+ for his 50th appearance. It's standard in todays football when they sell their youth products to add clauses.

Adams was very good and it's quite clearly to do with bonus/add ons but what I don't understand is, if he's been linked strongly with other clubs why the hell didn't we sell him rather than pay him off? Christ even 50k would do wouldn't it?
