i say im very happy with new signing, seems to be a brilliant young prospect and fits in with the new ccfc mantra

i think leon clarke will be more consistent than wilson over a course of season

3. I liked the look of Barton as a player....good touch & vision....but I think he'd need to play alongside an "enforcer" type player who could win the ball for him when its gets a bit hairy in the middle of the park.
4. I think long term, Thomas will have the better career....but Christie is currently playing at the top of his game.

1) Even though I haven't seen him play, the reports on him sounds promising. Won't be a first teamer just yet but could potentially develop into a top player in a few years time.

2)Clarke has the experience in this league whereas Wilson is young and getting a run out in the team for the first time so Clarke to edge it over the season but still expect Wilson to score 15 goals this season with the way he has started.

3)Fleck and Thomas have been dominant in our midfield and I am delighted with both of their starts to the season however we cannot expect them to play every single game and they do need some rest from time to time. Give Barton a chance I say, he has a lot to prove as well I feel.

4)Its got to be Christie. This lad is an absolute gem.

5)13 points. 4 wins, 1 loss, 1 draw.

1. Never anything wrong with taking a youngster on board, given our lack of defensive numbers.
2. Clarke, i still remember Wilson the lost puppy from last year. Clarke will continue all year, fingers crossed Wilson too.
3. No, no physicality not as talented technically as fleck.
4. Christie now, Thomas in 5-10 years. Hopefully both prem with us!
5. 10 at a minimum, 14 from 13 is still lower mid table relegation form, we must be careful and not get too excited.

Christie, probably. However a good centre mid, will always command a higher fee than a good right back.

With Glasgow Rangers being my second team, I've heard a little bit about this lad. Many friends have commented on how they were surprise to see him leave. Could be a great signing, just give him time PUSB WATP.

Barton to be used as a sub for now, do rate him technically though.

Christie, but must mention that Fleck is only 21 and has been superb this season

No idea what he's like as a player, but I'm glad for the extra body in defence and Pressley's earned the benefit of the doubt so far.

Clarke. Wilson's on a purple patch but I wouldn't be surprised if he goes off-form a little whereas Clarke's got more experience and guile.

Yep, he's good on the ball and just needs to work on his concentration as he was caught in possession or out of position a bit too much last season.

Christie, his name is continually being linked with clubs and praised by opposition fans. I'm a fan of Thomas, but by nature his role doesn't stand out as much as an attacking full-back would.

Wolves away is the only one where I almost expect a defeat, so double figures.

1) Looks like they are investing the the future. Could be a top player.

1) what do you think of our new centre back signing? Don't know enough about him to properly judge, but I trust Pressley to get the best out of him. Seems to have good pedigree and plays in a position we needed cover in.

2)who do you think will be top scorer for city? clarke or wilson Wilson. Teams will see the way we are controlling games and start pushing higher up the pitch, leaving room in behind the defence for Wilson to use his pace. Also, Clarke is playing a more creative role, dropping deeper, while Wilson is there more as an out-and-out goalscorer. Both could easily score 20+ though.

3) would you like to see barton given a chance in middle of pitch anytime soon? I rate him, and again, I trust Pressley to get a lot out of him. However, Fleck and Thomas are a balanced partnership in excellent form. While they're playing this well Barton shouldn't get a look-in.

4) who is our best young prospect? thomas or christie Tough one. Have always liked Thomas, I think he's got all the attributes to become a very good box-to-box midfielder. Christie has really impressed me over the last year or so and is a key part of the team. I'd probably say Thomas, I think he's got more strings to his bow.

5) how many points do you think we will take from next 6 fixtures? A conservative 9.

1) Not so sure, Chris Hussey was meant to be the next big thing and look how that turned out but with SP guidance he could be special.
2) Clarke, I think it is too early in his career to be able to maintain the form that he is on, 15 goals i think is pushing it.
3) Yes, Barton has a lot to offer and we havent seen the best of him yet.
4) Christie but if we dont get promoted within 2 years im sure he will be gone.

I'm happy. Pressley seems very picky over who he gives contracts too so he must see something in this kid. Another body for central defence is what we needed.

Tough. I'll go Wilson, but not by much. On this form both can reach 20+.

Yes and no. I rate Barton, but I love Thomas and Fleck together so I wouldn't want them split up.

Again, tough. Before this season it was Christie, but Thomas is playing like the player we all hoped he'd grow into. I'd say Christie based purely on there's more chance of him making the step up.

Stevenage - WIN or DRAW

Would've liked some experience at the back but this kid comes with pedigree and has been tracked by SP for a while so I'm excited to see what he offers. He's certainly got the right build and if Flecknis any measure will hae been schooled well. Overall a thumbs up for me.

Clarke. I think Wilson will drop off when he goes a few games without a goal. At the moment he's running on adrenaline and naivity, when that runs out he'll hit a wall like all youngsters and probably need time out. Inthink Clarke will score consistently all season and finish on at least 20.

3) would you like to see barton given a chance in middle of pitch anytime soon?

Not right now because you don't change a winning side, but I rate Barton and would like to see him fitted into the side at some point. But we have a young squad and chances will arrive sooner rather than later so no rush.

4) who is our best young prospect? thomas or christie

Last season I would've said Thomas, haven't seen enough of the team this year (2nd game Saturday!) but from reports I'd say Christie. I remember one comment from an opposition fan "everything went through their fullback" it takes a special fullback to get that kind of comment.


5) how many points do you think we will take from next 6 fixtures?

9 maybe 10. Can't see us getting much from Wolves Orient or Sheff Utd (especially with King) but fancy us to win the next three. In all likelyhood we won't, but then we probably won't lose all the second three either. How well we do there will set my expectations for the season, we've had a reasonably easy start so far.

2. Wilson - Clarke never hangs around clubs for long, chances are regardless of who scores more, Clarke would be first to leave...

3 - Don't see why not, with a paper thin squad he'll get chances enough to prove himself anyway

4 - Christie has more of a track record so far, although easy to forget that Thomas interested Liverpool enough for them to sign him...

5 - 5. Sorry to be negative :-( But we've got a small squad, and a young squad, so injuries, inconsistency of youth, and playing some decent-ish sides, I expect to bite us.

No, for me there's only room for fleck or Barton, you can't play both as you need Thomas's engine, ability to win the second ball and battling qualities.
