It will be interesting to see how they get on in the CL next year, ithink with the additional games could affect them massively like it did with Everton, Newcastle,Brum and Wigan. I suppose at this point in time they wont give a shit like we wouldn't! Good luck to em.
Just cannot see them winning it. I'd love them to of course especially for the sake of Chelsea reject Ranieri. If they do, it will go down as one of the greatest management achievements in the history of the game. Now would be an ideal opportunity with Man U, Chelsea and Man C all in management turmoil.
Just shows that having the best individual players doesn't always make for the best team.
Just how many times have Man City blown it or just not turned up?
Leicester have put together a cohesive unit and that as a whole shows what a team with spirit, organisation and the right tactics can achieve.
They do have of course some very good players, but others could have easily be labeled as other team's cast offs (Huth, Simpson, Albrighton), players that were released by other clubs.
Thing is, with Man City. You splash out £30m on a player, they expect to play. I think you can get a lack of cohesiveness.
Think it is the same in League One with Burton. Whether as individuals you would say whether these are great players or not is neither here not there, they are however, a very good 'team!' And that's what it's all about.
I know many of us have questioned the likes of Joe Cole and that has very little to do with the quality of the player and everything to do with how he fits in our team and the way we play.
Did trying to include Cole to try and fit him in undermine our system and the way we were trying to play?
Anyway, Leicester have proved this season that they deserve to be top. Just two defeats all season after 25 games. You simply cannot argue with that stat.
Man City have lost 6. That just shows how inconsistent they can be.
