What will happen though if both are kicked out the league? Will teams have to be moved up/down again?
When it’s happened before no - the following season they may do to rebalance
OK. I took it as him relying on the club for a little more positive info as regards the going ahead of this fixture.Something back from the club to compensate for his own stupidity at booking flights and accomodation for a fixture that tickets aren't yet on sale for and for weeks have had a distinct possibility of never being.
I guess telling him to piss off would count as a wee gesture?
Some form of reimbursement for the flights and hotels he as paid for 'if it doesn't go ahead'.So what do you take as his wanting of a "wee gesture"?
Regarding the safety certificate, I'm sure there was a rugby game on their in the last week or so as I recall seeing the stand in the background when an interview was going on. Would they have had a safety certificate for that and would it be the same one for the football club?
A bit harsh? I agree, the club aren’t going to refund flights/hotels etc, but this guys a good enough supporter to travel by plane to watch his team, book a hotel, and whatever other costs he’ll incur. Also, you would book some of these things in advance. So rather than call him a moron, perhaps some sympathy is more appropriate? My guess is he's hoping the club will offer to refund his flight which is madness. A) There is absolutely zero fault from the club B) It's been apparent since May that Bolton are in the shit, why would you book flights before confirmation. The sad thing is, it's everything that's wrong with modern culture. Blame someone, sue someone, take no accountability for any mistake you may have made. The clubs a sitting duck for morons like this.

If you book something before anything is confirmed when a club is threatened with liquidation that missed its last game last season *AND* then ask a club that has absolutely no say in it for some kind of 'gesture' then yes, you are a moron.A bit harsh? No sympathy from me. He picked a game against a club which may not be able to start the season.A bit harsh? Both Rugby League Challenge Cup semi-finals and the women's rugby league final were played at Boltons ground last Saturday so, clearly, a safety certificate is in place. The ground was nowhere near full but that's not an issue. Why a safety certificate not in place, affects the football club and not other sports, I'd love to know.Regarding the safety certificate, I'm sure there was a rugby game on their in the last week or so as I recall seeing the stand in the background when an interview was going on. Is it a different sort of safety certificate that's required for some reason as the rules are different - no alcohol in the stands etcBoth Rugby League Challenge Cup semi-finals and the women's rugby league final were played at Boltons ground last Saturday so, clearly, a safety certificate is in place. Thats the trusts usual train of thought GThe fans demand the EFL show some teeth - so it looks like they may remove the golden share unless they have fit and proper owners
No more Bolton

I reckon there could be. The rugby fans will tell you there is a different one, you know, because of us Neanderthal football fans
They are expecting some sort of announcement imminently
I’ve asked him what he meant by ‘wee gesture’. I’m intrigued.
They can’t put tickets on sale if the game isn’t going to happen, and first they need a ground safety certificate, and that hasn’t been issued.
Selling tickets now would be fraudulent.
Also you need 11 players to start a game of professional football.
Any idea why they are suddenly lacking a ground safety certificate? How has that become a factor?
Something to do with the non playing staff not being paid, same as end of last season.
It's a common thing these days. People with their hand out from companies because they feel wronged whereas in reality it's actually their own stupidity which caused the issue. Fucking winds me right up.
I get it as well where they threaten it even when it's their mistake.Pisses me right off at work. I track literally every click on our website and can prove beyond doubt it’s a customer fuck up. We still give refunds because we don’t want the bad press. These days they write a scathing review full of bullshit before even talking to us.

I'm not a fan of Dutch footballI reckon there could be. The rugby fans will tell you there is a different one, you know, because of us Neanderthal football fans
That's not confirmed still is it? Think they've just been given permission to play their away game.Great news our Bolton game will be on. They won't be at their strongest by then, and I'm obviously pleased they haven't gone belly up.
Would seem pointless to allow first game to go ahead, then cancel the second. I assume that the EFL have received some reassurances re: Bolton's plans. That's not confirmed still is it? Think they've just been given permission to play their away game.
