'General Admission tickets are currently sold-out – more seats may be released, subject to whether the match is selected for live coverage by Sky Sports.'
How fucking grim. People will miss out because of cameras.
Surely this isn't common at other stadiums? Do Leicester, Southampton and Derby have to give up seats for cameras?
Google thinks they may have to as well.'General Admission tickets are currently sold-out – more seats may be released, subject to whether the match is selected for live coverage by Sky Sports.'

I'm guessing it's a better viewing angle, the view from the front is worse than further back for normal fans so I guess it's the sameis there a reason that camera has to be 10 rows back in the stand rather than at pitch level?
I'm guessing they do and to be fair you need a lot of space to house Troy Deeney's head and gut. It's the sheer amount though. The amount blocked off is significant both in Block 5 and in the opposite corner.

Can't remember visiting many grounds and seeing stuff like this for cameras. Maybe I'm not looking for it...
I always go in the Jacobean hotel allesley. Then Drink in the Rainbow pub in allesley village. Now I know that is a dump lol
It's a shame cameras hadn't been invented in 2005View attachment 42711View attachment 42712

Looks like other new build stadiums have designated areas for cameras.
Another thing that requires money to fix.
We can't really compare those grounds as they have all been or still PL grounds and have probably been retrofitted which construction or in the case of Brentford is only a few years old.View attachment 42711View attachment 42712

Thought that was just the Luton game that has been switched (as it stands)

You're right, I got my wires crossed. It's the Luton game.

Also if you switched sides wouldn't one of the camera's in the corner either be in the small segregated bit or in the away block so no worries about any lost seatsSurely at this point everyone who goes to the stadium, including decision makers, realise that the hospitality section is too large for the throughput of people that can enjoy it on matchdays. The best option would be to change some of that stand into camera gantries? Also would show the stands being full every week.
We have a saying in Boro "Typical Boro" that's reared its ugly head again against Sheff Wed, they never won at home since new years Day and never scored at home since February and guess What Boro turn up and lose 2-1. I don't think we had ever won at he CBS stadium Also Norwich have just sacked their manager ahead of our game with them on Saturday I hope we can get a win but again wouldn't be surprised if we don't turn up. Our fanbase last few years are just numb towards everything and I would say 50% are still behind Carrick. It's going to be a hell of a day. Euphoria or crushing disappointment. For one of us, neither of us or both of us!
Im afraid that is just wrong, Nearly all clubs have far too little hospitality areas and are always trying to create more space - Liverpool even have hospitality in a local pub and they bus you to the game! We are lucky to have a ground that was built with this in mind.Surely at this point everyone who goes to the stadium, including decision makers, realise that the hospitality section is too large for the throughput of people that can enjoy it on matchdays. How are seats that can't be used earning money?Im afraid that is just wrong, Nearly all clubs have far too little hospitality areas and are always trying to create more space - Liverpool even have hospitality in a local pub and they bus you to the game! The relative loyalty of hospitality patrons kept the club alive when we had gates of 7000 and are a very profitable earner for the club.
I would expect that if they cant be used, they have been paid for in some way to make the fact that they cant be used possible. How are seats that can't be used earning money?
A very interesting presentation, clearly Portman Road needed a lot of work before the start of this season but it is an old stadium however things keep moving on and our 20+ year old stadium will be a bit behind in certain aspects.Yeah exactly. We'll need to spend quite a bit if we get promoted.
This video is good to show what's needed.
They can- its just the Balcony offers just dont seem to be priced right for what they provide- Fully expecting a full review of hospitality options next year (whatever happens) Club Coventry (where everyone wants to be) is likely to go up in price and a basic hospitality package for the Balcony priced accordingly. How are seats that can't be used earning money?
He means switched from Sky + to Sky Main EventThe final games can't be switched they all have to ko at the same time
He means switched from Sky + to Sky Main Event
Yes, and we don't know what sky channel are covering it at the moment, + or main which is why they've said some more seats may become available.Sky Sports + Coverage doesnt require seats to be blocked off, Main Event does.
I think if it's between us to determine who gets playoffs we'll be on Main EventYes, and we don't know what sky channel are covering it at the moment, + or main which is why they've said some more seats may become available.
They're probably waiting upon Saturdays resultsI think if it's between us to determine who gets playoffs we'll be on Main Event
