Anyone going down to Milton Keynes FA cup weekend to protest against the FA for allowing franchise football??

I'm totally behind the AFC Wimbledon camp on this, disgusting what happened to them, Winkleman should have taken MK City who were playing in Wolverton at the time and taken them through the non leagues like everyone else has to :jerkit:

Wrong what happened, but if it didnt them Wimbledon Fc would have eventually died. A lot of AFC Wimbledon supporters will go to this making any 'boycott' they originally told fans to do pointless.

Both teams are here to stay, so i'm not too fussed about the issue anymore.

I feel quite strongly about this, the thought of what happened to the origional Wimbledon ever happening to City is sickening, regardless of the fact Wimbledon Fc were going to be liquidated. I hope AFC absolutely batter them, would top off an amazing climb through the football league.

Errr the original Dons were only in trouble because the fans were boycotting, their TEMPORARY move away from Merton to Croydon lasted a total of 11 years :facepalm: 11 years of travelling 6 miles across London to home games, like us travelling to Hinckley or Rugby for over a decade!!

And for people who don't give a shit/fuck, Its lucky its not not your club that was sold out from underneath you

This is mainly about the FA shitting on little clubs, its even on a Sunday in front of the ITV cameras, great tv a mass protest outside the ground, I know Luton and Northampton fans plan to turn up!

Think the majority of fans were very concerned about this when it happened and as has been said they shouldn't have kept the Dons name.

MK should have just built their own team and Wimbledon do what they did and take the hit and start out as a brand new club.

This thing of moving a club like this in this manner should never be allowed to happen again. I sincerely hope Wimbledon stuff them.

I dont recognise CCFC as the same club I used tio support on the West Terrace as a boy,

now we play in a half empty stadium where every corner is sponsored by "tantastic, your local tanning salon".

I bet that the AFC Wimbledon fans have had every bit as much fun and excitement in the past few years than they did in the 80's /90's.

I think they're boycotting it because a lot of AFC Wimbledon fans don't recognise MK Dons as a legitimate club.

If you are unhappy with something out of your control, protests, strikes, boycotts etc. at least let the bigger boys know that you're not happy about it, whether anything changes or not.

I don't think there will be many AFC fans going into the stadium, that would be like giving money over to someone who stabbed you leaving you for dead a decade ago...

He stole a club, ripped it away from the fans who had it in their community for 114 years, while in his very own town, MK City were going bust and did so in 2002, why didnt he buy them??

Up to two million people marched through London to protest against the war in Iraq. What happened? Nothing happened. A few hundred Coventry fans protesting with the obligatory badly crafted coffin won't make a difference.

Listen, I'm all for standing up for what you believe in if your actions would realistically have a chance of making a difference. The MK Dons situation...nothing anyone does or says will make a difference which is why the original Wimbledon fans formed their own club. They obviously realized that they would be wasting their time continuing their protests.

Another example would be a couple of hundred Coventry fans jumping up and down outside the stadium with a dirty piss stained bed sheet making themselves look stupid on Sky Sports. Whilst I appreciate their sentiments and admire their efforts it was laughable at best. Strangely enough the group was decimated a few weeks later when the main protagonists left....

2 million people marching through London to protest against war in Iraq - nothing happened BUT I'm all for standing up for what you believe in if your actions would realistically have a chance of making a difference.

So you'd need what, 5 million marching with you to be bothered? Or would you want a letter from the relevant authority promising to change their decision if you went to the bother of getting out of bed?

I guess we just have to be grateful that not everyone thinks that way or we'd still have slavery, no universal suffrage and pubs would still close at 11 pm!!

As in....they marched and achieved nothing and deep down they probably knew they wouldn't....
