An experienced senior keeper needs to be a priority in the summer to challenge Dovin for the #1 spot. Release Wilson and try to give Collins away.

Yes, I know Sweden are not exactly a heavyweight but he’s been around the senior squad. We’ve seen enough of the others to know they’re not the answer.

Didn't he make a howler for Sweden under 21s in the last international break?

He was dreadful today, but if anyone thinks changing keepers alone is going to fix our defensive issues then I don’t know what to tell you. Worst back four I’ve seen for us in years.

No one expects dropping Collins to fix the defence, but it will result in less goals conceded simply by having someone in goal that doesn't let in every other shot faced. Something especially important with such a porous defence I'm sure you'll agree.

Isn’t the only squad he’s been in the one where they only call up domestic players?

I think the plan was to have him kitching and thomas as a back 3 as they were doing well at Barnsley. Then it all went to shit

Did they even play together?
Collins wasn't even playing for the second half of the season they did well....

It's worse than every other shot.
It is something like 18 if the last 25 shots on target have resulted in a goal.

Frankly, I'm that angry at the minute I'd pay someone to take Collins off our hands.

Never get this argument. It’s not obligatory to go-that is your choice.

It sounds from Lampards comments in the week that Wilson will be number 1. I wouldn't mind that tbh

I would! Wilson also needs to be shown the door and is not the answer. Really shows how low the bar is but unfortunately Wilson will have to do for now 🫤

We could try leaving him in a box outside an orphanage. Hope that some kind person takes him in.

He's the answer if the question is Collins or Wilson?

But really we should put Dovin in for the rest of the season.

From what we have seen, Dovin is just as bad as Collins at dealing with corners/crosses/set pieces.
Nobody could save less shots than Collins though, so if Wilson (who is erratic at best) isn't fit, stick him in.

Dovin has made one mistake IE QPR , he's hardly made the same no of appearances as Collins to say he is as bad. He's a young keeper with promise , no where as bad as Collins. I cat is better than Collins . Wilson had one good season. I think with the money we paid for Dovin he is the long term answer. Like to see a change in the goalkeeping coach though.

Remember the goal Dovin conceded at Sunderland. Was the Collins first goal today worse?

Collins make a great save and then pushes the ball straight for Lang to score his 4 th. Fantastic.

Well he has to drive back to Portsmouth to hand back the man of the match trophy... maybe they can keep him.

He should have smoothed the ball rather than push it out and Binks should have been more alert. Awful goal to concede

Can't reply @Adge as next to advert.

You're right, it is choice, but compared with people feeling sorry fir an overpaid footballer I think it's valid.

Collins is and never was good enough for this level. Personally I would say National League tops. He is devoid of any confidence and has a limited skill set.

Well 3 of the goals were entirely preventable today if we didn't have butterfingers in net and one of the 7 dwarves at left back.

The xG is pretty irrelevant when looking at a keepers performance.

It's the xGOT that is the relevant part, and 0.1 is fucking terrible.

We've got to play Dovin. Collins isn't the answer and neither is Wilson.

The 4th is an odd one. It’s a good first save to be fair. Does feel like he could have done better with the second one and our defenders should have got there first but a very weird goal to concede really.

Yes. Decent first save.
Have watched it back a few times and the paw away was so so weak and into a poor position (which It did not need to be) so I'd certainly add the fourth to the list.
Said before too. Yes Dasilva went missing for the second.... But Collins reactions are so poor. Good strike but there are keepers in this league that save that....
