I would be happy for someone senior from SISU to speak to them. However when your previous offer was described as derisory you really need to come back with something significantly improved, not just a promise of a few quid if Wilson leaves Bournemouth.

The offer does not cover the value of Ryton, would be cheap training ground for a rugby team!!

Derisory compared to what? Did you see what Villa and Wolves sold for and what you got for your money in terms of tangible assets? Just because honest SISU describes it that way doesn’t mean you have to take them seriously. CCFC has a ceiling price and I think you would be hard pressed to argue that even without a Wilson windfall we’ve passed that place when you make a comparison to other clubs.

I want somebody with shit loads of money to come in, build up our infrastructure and the club from the bottom to the top. Make us self sustainable and able to compete at the highest level. Once the infrastructure is done, then just go for it to get us back to the Premier League (all without wanting a penny back).

Realistically, I can see this attempt not working and us playing somewhere else. Very worst case is CCFC dies and a new club gets started up at the Ricoh and certain people live happily ever after.

What’s the value of Ryton? Did the offer include Ryton? Don’t think they’re previous offers did?

I don’t disagree with you.

I just don’t understand why you have to act the smart arse with your approach all the time.

always comes back to this lack of transparency over who the buyers/investors are.
as long as it could get past FL rules it shouldn't be an issue.
let's face it FL don't care whose funds SISU are managing

My perfect win would be the club being bought out by someone who increases community engagement, runs the club on a stable footing but manages to increase income so that stable footing is able to easily complete in the championship. I don't want some plastic club run by Arabs/drinks manufacturers. London Wasps to go back to where they come from, I won't wish them out of existence because they have proper fans who have been fucked over by this as much as we have. Anybody in any of the councils that have contributed to this being kicked out of office never to return. The trust to dissolve and a proper supporters group formed. Seppala, Fisher, Eastwood, Duggins, Lucas and the Jimmy Hill Way twat to be made to clean the toilets at the Ricoh with their tongues forever.

As with anything you are only going to be able to buy it if you offer a price the seller deems acceptable. Saying you don't have to take SISU seriously when they say it is derisory is ridiculous. They are the current owners and it is them alone who will decide if any offer is satisfactory.

Therefore if someone makes an offer and gets told its derisory coming back again, let alone to make a 5th bid, without a significant improvement in the offer is pointless.

It appears SISU have two issues with Hoffman. The amount offered and the lack of credibility; proof of funds, investors identity etc.

I mean... fuckaduck, if SISU think your not credible, you might as well piss your money down a 24 carat gold toilet in Las Vegas... or a shit stained one in Club Heat m8

Given that, If I were in SISU's shoes, I wouldn't have accepted any of their offers so far, I don't hold out too much hope on this one.

Also, still brings characters back in who I wouldn't want anywhere near the running of the club.

Sisu can accept whatever they want for their club. It's as cold as that.

£7m, the Club is worth more than that.

Very convenient timing from Hoffman.

I find it odd some think that because SISU dismiss an offer out of hand for the contracts of some 3rd tier players and a training ground that the bid was crap.

Christ knows what their actual endgame is but after 12 years do we not at least welcome the idea of a change at the top? There must be a price.

Not sure how they could say with any certainly we'd be at the Ricoh next season if they hadn't had talks.
It is understood Mr Hoffman is bidding on the basis that such a takeover would ensure Coventry City would remain in Coventry at the Ricoh Arena after its tenancy arrangements expire this season.

It doesn't matter if anyone on here thinks their offer was crap or not. Its how it compare to what SISU want. Its not like its a first offer, this is the fifth time round. Any serious bidder by now would be approaching meeting the sellers price or would have walked away.

Its clear that an attempt has been made to distress the club prior to this bid going in to try and force their hand but as many predicted it won't work as the owners simply could not care less about the club.

Tried posting Gilberts tweet of SISUs response but it was too small to read so lets try another way.

WTF are you on about?

SISU are a private entity potentially selling assets to another private entity. They will know the value of those assets and appear to want significantly more than the current value. They appear to have no desire to sell and hence haven't put the club up for sale.

The council are answerable to the taxpayer. They had an asset they wished to sell yet rather than market it properly ensuring maximum return for the taxpayer they sold it in secret while repeatedly making false public statements about the performance of the business.

How have you managed to equate those two situations?
