I'm sure they are kicking themselves now over that. And I'm sure you're right, they won't be going anywhere until they see some kind of return for their investors.
The club needs to make itself more attractive to new owners. Half the ground.
500 well considered posts on here to convince ourselves that CCFC are doomed!
and outside of our little bubble CCFC are appointing another manager and making a second loan signing of a striker......
it doesn't add up....
eat your heart out Mighty, mungy, minge!

Just another in the long list of Ken Delieu catastrophies. Spent the budget on shipping the squad out to his back garden, invited himself onto the bench, savagely cut costs and then totally blew all hopes of a takeover by revealing the names of the bidders on radio. Any relationship SISU had left with the fans/ACL he destroyed and SISU are still trying to build the bridges now. In that short reign he, along with Onye and Brody did so much damage.
I still think that had Fisher and co. been appointed under a different regime yet carried themselves in exactly the same manner, they would have so much more public support.
I disagree with the latter bit, old boy.
What I don't like is the apparent duplicity. Statements on the website about ACL's 'well publicised' financial problems, what we all heard on the radio with regards Fisher repeatedly asserting that ACL had 'gone bust'. They haven't. The latest round of rhetoric about them not 'propping up a loss making council-owned concern'. It's making money.
Maybe Fisher heard about ACL's "well publicised" financial problems from a post on here, or heard somebody say something on the radio?
Would be all the evidence anybody could possibly need to make the statements he has surely?
Or could it be classed as duplicitous or rhetoric?
He's paid to apply a wisdom to his offerings that's not consummate with that required for a message board discussion though isn't he?
At least he's getting paid to be duplicitous and full of rhetoric, you seem more than willing to do it for nothing.

This is a horrible, nasty way to do business. I don't like it associated with our club. I'll be embarrassed when we enter a transfer embargo again some time soon, as the rest of the world looks in at us with incredulation as it's two years running. They've heard the stories about the winding-up order. You read other fan's forums and they put us on par with Pompey - paying players such as McGoldrick, McSheffrey and Wood yet not paying a penny in rent.
I don't live my life like that, and I find it hard to support a club who's owners behave in a way I find abhorrent. I don't care who it is, or what they represent; but the need to be good, honest, transparent and skillful people - at least in my mind. I'm not so sure the current board can tick all those boxes....
Bryan Richardson, Joe Elliott, Geoffrey Robinson et al. ticked all those boxes, didn't they!!I disagree with the latter bit, old boy.

Quite the moralist aren't you.
I am sure when you purchase food from a supermarket you ensure the supplier at the bottom of the chain has been rewarded. Likewise you know with 100% certaintity all the clothes you purchase are not the result of exploitation.
It may surprise you but these are the type of moral issues I concern my self with. In particular I am almost obsessive about animal welfare issues.
However I consider non payment of rent hardly a morality issue at all. This is a council owned property and if they pull the trigger I will consider them totally accountable.

If the only stumbleing block is revenue from food/drinks etc. Why don't sisu set up their own food and drink places? (outside the ground if not inside). Open the gates at half time, and sell things cheaper, force ACL to share or miss out? or like these people selling pies for a pound. put some of them inside the ground, and some mobile beer sellers, just under cut the stalls by a few pence.
I'm sure ACL might have some kind of clause saying no other sales....
Or if fans feel that strongly, just boycot them ourselves??
Bleedin' hell. That's a bit of a car crash; it's like post cobbled together by Linda McCartney, Piers Morgan and Citizen Smith.
Bit astonishing you feel that non-fulfillment of a contract isn't a moral issue. Just hope your pension provider doesn't adopt the same ideology
PS.. Torchy.............TWAT!
MMM, SBK, CJP et al are constantly banging on about morals and effectively saying that those who disagree with them and their stance are morally bankrupt. This isn’t the case. I personally care about lots of rights and ethical issues. Are they more important than whether a joint venture company is getting it’s rent or not? To me, yes they are. I have morals alright but am not really moved by ACLs “plight”. And before anyone mentions the “poor” charity, they aren’t losing out either really. They have a nice big chunk of real estate they’ll one day make a mint out of.
What if Torchy is a keyboard-adept dachshund and you've just upset his feelings with that tirade?
You'll have Grenduffy and Sting sitting outside your house in protest; sniffing josticks and weaving baskets with their feet, whilst expressing ther pent-up sexuality using the mediums of rhythm, shape, movement and dance

Resulting to insults because that's real immature..... :jerkit:
It's called tongue-in-cheek humour. I disagree on many issues with Torchmatic, but have never resorted to name-calling, as I'm sure he'll bear witness to.
Calling someone immature and then using the shaky-hand icon. Was that meant to be irony, or was it accidental?
I care about my club breaking the law. Yes. I care about what 'the football family' think of our club when it constantly transgresses. Yes. I care when people gamble with the very life of the club itself. Yes.
But this is a football forum, and therefore people will post about how legality and morality are evidenced within the club. It's not a case of discussing football's pros and cons against those of the wider world. That's for elsewhere. As forum rules clearly state

People don't care south if their club is successful.
The premier league is the very representation of greed is good.
The issues in the wider world are relevant as those are re issues. Sorry but I am just a tad bit more upset about the proposed badger cull, the fact that British horses are being transported to Romania for slaughter and the terrible conditions many uk animals are subjected to so to satisfy human greed. As for foie gras don't get me started.
So the fact that my football club has fed Jon Muttons belly for a while to me is utterly irrelevant. Actually he looks like his been given the pâté treatment already.
