What a joke, it's not really an increase is it as we've never seen any plans!

Still not big enough really. If they want to be taken seriously surely they should be looking at 20k as a starting point.

Given they're never going to build it anyway, surely we can be far more ambitious. I demand 100,000. :)

Another little chuckle at this one again, is this what it has come to?

I used to deride people for being cynics, but It's impossible now with either those Involved. or the Situation.
Caught a bit of Andrew Marr's History of Britain earlier and a facet of what was discussed in another thread hit me.
Its in our ability to laugh and ridicule the situation, that will see all of these fools fail.
Despite a few tear-ups the reason Oswald Bailey failed with his Fascists was the national audience laughed him out of existence.

Great news we can now delay any stadium even more due to the re-design. If we increase by 1000 each time this can continue until we get something more realistic like 25k.

or did he fail because he spent too much time making outdoor clothing while Oswald Mosley stole his thunder on the fascist front....:D

Tim Fisher, chief executive of CCFC, was invited to join the meeting for the final half-an-hour to answer questions on the new stadium. It was put to him that a 12,000 starting capacity would not be enough.

He said: “This has been presented to me a few times so we’ve spoken to the architect and we are going to look to increase that to at least 15,000 as a starting point.

“Of course, the ambition is to be in the Championship at the point when we open the new stadium, so we might then look to go even further in terms of opening capacity.

“But the reason we are going for the type of design we are looking at is the flexibility of capacity. We are balancing economics with the atmosphere of the stadium and that is why this feedback is so vitally important.”

As this new stadium is apparently modular and seems to have great flexibility, in size shape and appearance, hopefully they can also downsize it as well, to reflect the supporter base that will be left when they finally get round to building it. With a probable fan base of just a few hundred left by then, surely luxury sofa styled seats can be installed, with wifi, stereo surround and all the latest gadgets fitted as standard.
The loyal fans who would have spent 10/20 years at Sixfields deserve nothing less.:D

Will they have to knock a new picture up now?

That picture was a 23k stadium, it was after all phases are complete.

The real question is what's the new final phase figure?

Does it still top out at 23k? (basically, have they just implemented Phase 2 straight away)

Buffoon . They won't have 1500 fans left let alone 15000 if this ever comes to fruition.

I know this is in jest, however, the way I see it is that this stadium, if it is real, is an exit strategy for them. Surely they should be looking at potential crowds available to new owners when they sell. Who would want to buy a stadium with capacity of 15k with a club with a realistic fan base of about 18k. It would mean any new owners would need to spend money straight away to increase capacity.

I sit here wondering to oneself; "Does anyobody actually believe any of this?"

Simon has filed his story, it names the 'selected' people.. may they hand their heads in shame at cooperating with SISU like this.

In fairness, I'm not sure it matters.

I'd rather have the Trust (or someone like that) on this committee so that we've got the hope of feedback without the spin.

Obviously, once this all goes down the pan, I'd expect all of the members of the committee to have their heads shaved and be marched through town as collaborators. Unless they've already got their heads shaved, in which case I'd expect them to have their heads painted. ;)

The story isn't quite right ............ one rotating seat is for the SCG who will rotate (in theory) who from its members attends the stadium committee. Not quite the same as saying the Trust has a seat on it - the Trust does not nor does it have the right to alternate attendance with the SCG

There you are all you sceptics out there. They told you it would be modular, and there it is, another 3000 in the blink of an eye....

In my opinion that needs to be higher too. Why not have the ability for the capacity to be able to match the Ricoh if circumstances dictate.

I think I met Ravinder, seems a decent guy, was keen to put ideas forward that could engage the asian community so seems like a good appointment.

Not sure about the rest, but a few names that seem to turn up every time (not that I'm bitter about not being chosen or anything ;))

Fisher and his other twats want us to be in the championship by the time the stadium is built. They've earned less than £450000 so far from moving to shitfields that's before paying the rent so 65 % of that is going to build us a championship team. These sisu fuckers are a bunch of morons

I think you may have misread.

Ms Garlick says: "The seat will be shared by supporters groups such as members of the SCG"

Not exclusively the SCG. The wording implies that it is open to all supporters groups on request. Although, admittedly, not very clearly!

My feeling exactly. The consensus (from those who weren't saying 12k is enough) was start at 15-18k then go to maybe 22-24 and finally to say 30-32. I think most would accept that.
