I think you may have misread.
Ms Garlick says: "The seat will be shared by supporters groups such as members of the SCG"
Not exclusively the SCG. The wording implies that it is open to all supporters groups on request. Although, admittedly, not very clearly!

Given they're never going to build it anyway, surely we can be far more ambitious. I demand 100,000.

Sorry to disagree Simon, you might want to read the latest newsletter from the Sky Blue Trust. It includes Ms Garlicks response to Trust request for a seat on the committee following a vote by its members. Makes it clear there is one rotating seat for the SCG.
Considering people on here keep saying no one will turn up then 15K is going to be way too much.
If you were going to build it, and rely on attendance and revenue from those attendees to pay back all of the debt it would involve, then it's going to take a very, very long time if you limit it to only 15,000.
But if you're not going to build it, you might as well plan for 100,000 and a sliding roof and pitches to boot. If you're going to indulge a fantasy, then you might as well make it a fun one...
Just like that!!Like Richardson and the Ricoh?
Tim Fisher, chief executive of CCFC, was invited to join the meeting for the final half-an-hour to answer questions on the new stadium. It was put to him that a 12,000 starting capacity would not be enough.
He said: “This has been presented to me a few times so we’ve spoken to the architect and we are going to look to increase that to at least 15,000 as a starting point.
“Of course, the ambition is to be in the Championship at the point when we open the new stadium, so we might then look to go even further in terms of opening capacity.
“But the reason we are going for the type of design we are looking at is the flexibility of capacity. We are balancing economics with the atmosphere of the stadium and that is why this feedback is so vitally important.”

My feeling exactly. The consensus (from those who weren't saying 12k is enough) was start at 15-18k then go to maybe 22-24 and finally to say 30-32. I think most would accept that.
I knew I would in the end.

I agree lets really push the boat out 200k capacity, with a topless waitress for every 10 fans.
We can play friendlies against Barca and Real Madrid which we always win by at least 5 clear goals.
After all in my fantasy football Cov always do brilliantly in the Champions League
Like I said yesterday, the time for putting forward what appear to be complete fantasies from SISU et al is past. I for one will not believe anything from either side until someone ponies up some cash to make the "moving on" a reality
I'm not sharing my topless waitress with anyone. I insist on (at the very minimum) a one to one ratio, this rising to two to one if I buy a ticket in the main stand.
I shall inform Ms Garlick forthwith.
@TheSimonGilbert: Tim Fisher has said the club would now like any new Sky Blues stadium to be 15,000 seats 'as a starting point' Full stadium story to follow.
Getting back to the OP. IMO the most shocking aspect of this is that Simon Gilbert broke the story and not the extremely well connected RFC. Help!!!!!!! He needs better contacts. PUSB
Your right there Torchy--2500 would be ample--2000 for away fans and the rest for Coventry fans.
The first meeting was attended by Ms Garlick, Michael Garlick (no relation to Ms Garlick), Tim Fisher, Carrie Fisher (no relation to Tim Fisher), Jim Brown, Roy Chubby Brown (no relation to Jim Brown), George Ireland (not born in Ireland), and David Buust (no relation to SISU's strategy)

The one thing that bugs me about all of this is I don't want a new Stadium in Exhall or La la land I want to go home to the Ricoh
Why can't Sisu, ACL and CCC come to a fair compromise instead of being obnoxious, ignorant, selfish fuckwits???
They've moved on (with the door still open).
I am glad they've made their position clear.
