the Greek manager said he never wanted to here his name again. Suggestions of constant drinking no training etc
I think the general consensus is that it was a punt that could have been a master-stroke.I understand we have to gamble with some signings but this has been one of the most bizarre for a long time.
What’s the point? At most other clubs they’ve quickly worked him out. Based on what’s been posted on here, I’m sure he’d be able to find his way to London even if sent somewhere boring.I think the general consensus is that it was a punt that could have been a master-stroke.
No one was to know at the time whether or not Bright was going to get his head down and become a valuable asset. There are those that like saying “told you so” but in reality no one had a clue, not even Bright I suspect.
Robins took a risk. It hasn’t worked out by the looks of things. The odd calculated risk is a mark of ambition, not foolhardiness necessarily.
So that’s that.
What way forward? Tearing up a contract might not be as easy done as said.
Do we totally give up on him? Do we send him on loan somewhere so boring that going out and partying is not possible?
I’ve waffled about mentoring before, is that an option?

Is he putting anything on social media or has he gone to ground

I’d 100% agree if it were any other player & manager combination.Someone who’s had numerous contracts and loans terminated is a bit more than a punt tbh. Someone like Hilssner was a punt
There might be, Robins certainly doesn’t hang his dirty washing out in public does he. We are proberbly stuck with him until at least January. Can understand the risk as I think there is a player there somewhere, but I don't understand why there were no clauses in place so we could get rid easily if he started pissing about again.
Especially as it was likely going to happen with his previous clubs
Not many people had any success before him tbf. Shudnt get angry wasn't perfectionThat's because after some initial success Mowbrays recruitment was generally poor
Yeah, why should the club waste any more money on someone who is just taking the piss - he really isn't that good. And where’s the extra money coming from for this new coach? Perhaps he can fund it himself
New coach ? Must have missed that, we have this new first team coach Dennis Anderson so maybe he’s a contact through him to concentrate on him nothing to lose I suppose, probably flogging a dead horse though. And where’s the extra money coming from for this new coach? Perhaps he can fund it himself

If, as we've been told, he isn't training and is seen as disruptive, I highly doubt there's a way back for him.To be honest I’ve given up on him I think he’s a waste of a thread now. Trouble is too even if by some miracle he starts to improve & impress I can’t see us the fans or even his team mates come to that believing it, he’s well on the back foot.

Who's angry?
You brought up the subject of Mowbray. Quite bizarre that you did to be honest.
I am just saying no point bringing up bad recruitment when also had good recruitment when managers who only had bad recruitment get of Scot free
If mowbray had signed bright and he not played the usual suspects would go mad
Recruitment deals with humans. It's not a game. Robins shouldn't be judged harshly on this either. Shit happens
Eccles is back training?U23s have just trained at the Higgs indoor bit.
Roll call:
Pask, Drysdale, Hilssner, Eccles and......... No sign of him!
Stop getting your knickers on a twist . You are angling for an argumentI'm really not sure what your point is?
If you're questioning why Robins is given more leeway than Mowbray surely you can see why after two promotions, keeping us up and the start we've had this season?

I just saying thread would be going crazy if this saga happened ubder mowbray, more so than any other manager we have had.
He came out, so I can assume it is some sort... Forgot to mention DaCosta was also there.Eccles is back training?
Just pointing it out because it will go unnoticed to the haters. Doesnt need to be a big thing. People should just accept when I am right. So you are angling for an argument then. Nobody gives a fuck about Mowbray.

I think most on here are adult enough to see the gamble side of all this of course he has cost wages but there are plenty of flops in our history who have cost us loads in wages and transfer fees. Had he turned out to be the Bright of two or three years ago we would all be very happy.
Not sure anyone cares enough about Mowbray to ‘hate’ him - he’s pretty irrelevant to us.Just pointing it out because it will go unnoticed to the haters. Doesnt need to be a big thing. People should just accept when I am right.
Yes agree with that, that proberly illustrates his character and difficult to change.Well yes more costly but few have shown the level of disrespect
Well 3 posters have felt need to reply to my comment so I would disagreeNot sure anyone cares enough about Mowbray to ‘hate’ him - he’s pretty irrelevant to us.
And accentuated by the fact we had him before, and he dicked us around about whether he'd sign once his loan spell ended. I can understand the likes of Kasteneer, and why Morrison keeps getting a club too for that matter - each manager thinks they're the one who can change them. We had him and, although he did well on the field, stories of him dicking about came out and the way he sodded off was somewhat messy. You'd think that would have burned every bridge going.Well yes more costly but few have shown the level of disrespect
