We were shite, sure, but let's not overlook it's taken a once in a life time flying top corner volley to actually score past us.
The panicking on here is tragic. We know SBT is an over the top world of emotions one way or another but a 1-1 at Bristol who have won 6 in a row at home in the league, whilst playing poorly, is a decent result.
We have to move on and focus on the next now. Yes there are concerns but for christ sake everyone calm down
Oh Clint there's alot of panicking on here! Not sure too many are panicking just pointing out what have, up until now, been fairly glaring deficiencies in our play.
Listened to that new cov podcast and they had Karen Carney on who made some good points that boiled down to:
1) a point on the road is good
2) BC won the tactical game. They packed the midfield, always had spare options to pass to, and we were overrun because of it.
3) Dovin should’ve been 20 yards further out of goal when we’re in possession to become an extra player and push the rest of the team further forward.
4) Eccles was playing a pointless game. MVE is amazing, he doesn’t need Eccles to screen him all the time.
I am considering opening a Bedwetters thread where people can vent and nobody else has to read !We were shite, sure, but let's not overlook it's taken a once in a life time flying top corner volley to actually score past us.

What took you, a Charabanc?Home.
Dovin made a few good saves, his punches are gonna land us in trouble though.
Not convinced that Binks is the calm, assured head he’s made out to be.
Rudoni, Eccles, Torp all poor. But seriously, in general, what is Torp offering to this team. Never thought I’d say it, but Palmer gives us more. Personally have seen enough of Torp.
Sakamoto looked terrified and knackered.
We knew Wright was better on the left, so I’m sort of wondering why we signed EMC just to throw him on the right where he’s no good.
Simms absolutely fuck all to feed off.
BTA is a good signing and should be starting games.
If it’s another season of turning up in the 65th minute, then it’s another season below top 6.
Careful, happy clap crew will attack you.
I thought Rudoni certainly worked hard. He was though a bit headless. There's a player in there and the intro' of Sheaf will settle us and make the midfield tick.
I think he needs to play deeper. He was far more involved when Torp went offI should hope there’s a player in there - he’s played 200 professional games.
He wasn’t looking for the ball once we were under pressure
A lot of player are not yet playing to the level we expect. We can forgive the likes of Sakamoto who's been out for ages and needs time . The new players coming in need time .
On the plus side I like the look of the new keeper.
It doesn't need all 11 on the pitch to perform at the top of their game for us to transform from what looks a mid table team into play off contenders. It needs 4-5 to find their feet and get going again which will enable the rest to fit in . This league is not about winning every game but it is about going on a series of runs of form. You can win 10 and lose 10 and be in the top 6 as a result. We know this from the last two seasons.
Last 20 he was much betterI should hope there’s a player in there - he’s played 200 professional games.
He wasn’t looking for the ball once we were under pressure
Pretty sure the last win before Oxford was Leeds at the start of April.9 of the 10 starting outfield players were with us last season
the gelling excuse is rubbish
We’ve won 2 of our last 11 league games
Correct, and I think the Blackburn game is the only league clean sheet in a very long time too.Pretty sure the last win before Oxford was Leeds at the start of April.
You think robins won’t solve it? Cos he’s not done it in the last 7 years9 of the 10 starting outfield players were with us last season

Let’s sack him and move onCorrect, and I think the Blackburn game is the only league clean sheet in a very long time too.
That is one hell of a jump from stating a fact about clean sheetsLet’s sack him and move on
Bloody hell
You think robins won’t solve it? Cos he’s not done it in the last 7 years
Have some faith man
On that note then we could always start wright and EMC on the left when Raphael is fit.We can’t rely on asante for goals. he’s not a finisher. anyone who seen him shooting in the warm ups will testify
hes a nuisance to defend. Ideal to bring on from the bench
Teams thwart the width like yesterday. we have little flair down the middle
That is one hell of a jump from stating a fact about clean sheets
On that note then we could always start wright and EMC on the left when Raphael is fit.
Reason I think BTA would be good is as you say he’s a nuisance and any balls headed on by simms or defenders he’d be all over.
On the flair point. I mean we’d have flair by Jack, Tats and EMC once he’s up to it. On the system it very rarely plays how it looks these days and would more expect the wingers to play more inward allowing the wingbacks to stretch the play.
Just my thoughts but understand the issues it could cause but just think it would help simms from being so isolated and allow us to put our best players on the pitch.
Fairly sure it’s two league clean sheets in 2024Its 2 wins in 11 league games now
Sorry it’s just reading so much nonsenseThat is one hell of a jump from stating a fact about clean sheets
Yeah 0.64 wow they earned their 1-1for me our dangerous play comes from out wide. Bristol and Stoke both closed down that threat
when we try and play through the middle its predictable, slow and sideways
Bristol yesterday got in good positions from 3 or 4 passes
I’m saying chillwhat are you on about?
where have I said that?
Just stating facts. we’ve spent a lot of money and the form table suggests we’ve not progressed and tbf the performances are showing that too
AgreedI’m saying chill
Last years issue is not this years
New season new team
Dangerous play comes from getting the ball up the pitch with one or two touch passing and some off the ball movement. For our players it’s either 3 or 4 touches before sending it backwards or sideways.for me our dangerous play comes from out wide. Bristol and Stoke both closed down that threat
when we try and play through the middle its predictable, slow and sideways
Bristol yesterday got in good positions from 3 or 4 passes
Its 2 wins in 11 league games now
Just stating a fact Pete. MR is adopting safety first tactics yet we concede in essentially every game.Sorry it’s just reading so much nonsense
We need to find our mojo sheaf will help and we need that stamenic signing
Robins always finds a way let’s have some patience
Don’t really disagree with that in regards to wide. But from the match Bristol dominated the match from just breaking out high press due to the low line the defence held.for me our dangerous play comes from out wide. Bristol and Stoke both closed down that threat
when we try and play through the middle its predictable, slow and sideways
Bristol yesterday got in good positions from 3 or 4 passes
He has said consistently that the players are not being brave on the ball and doing what's asked of themJust stating a fact Pete. MR is adopting safety first tactics yet we concede in essentially every game.
Agreed
It's clear we're still trying to work out our fluidity in play. Marathon not a sprint
Please tell me what I said isn’t true?
