As would i. Not sure what its gonna take for him to go up in your estimation though. It is. But I'm hoping he can emulate the Hill era.
I'd be delighted if he gets us promoted even if it's followed by relegation though that will cause a meltdown because not everyone thinks as logically and as considered as me
Apology accepted
No need to be sorry. Just struck me as funny that he should repay you so cruelly after you'd been his principal supporter on this forum.Sorry?

As long as you're not surprised. It's a game of two halves. Not sure whether to be excited or terrified by that
I think the mistake you are making is thinking that supporters ought to like the players capable of scoring the most goals or playing at the highest levels. On that basis I would have to like Craig Bellamy more than Ernie Machin. But I didn't. There are the factors of personal commitment and style and on both those accounts Machin was streets ahead of Bellamy in a Coventry shirt, just as I think Max is streets ahead of JCH on the same basis. Not a better player, perhaps, but the one I want to watch in the team I support.Oh Ok. Today’s goal was 50% of our number 9’s entire tally at this level in his career

That’s madness, JCH offers more and scores more than Biamou. It’s the same sort of mentality that saw many of our fans prefer Doyle to the likes of Hughes, Clingan and to an extent Bouzelin who in actual fact was a better player than Doyle.I think the mistake you are making is thinking that supporters ought to like the players capable of scoring the most goals or playing at the highest levels. same as The likes of Stern John and Leon Best got critisism
preferring mediocrity over actual talent has been a major problem with our fan base over the years
When Philosorapter says this, we can all start to believe.
The system is currently favouring Coventry to win the league, with Portsmouth just edging out Rotherham for the automatic promotion place.
Still a lot of games to play yet.
Can we end the season now please..

I spent most of my teen years in Holbrooks and “escaped” in 1980. I usually get to a game or two most years. I’ll be there in September but commited in London on the Saturdays. Hopefully we’re away at QPR or West HamHow many canucks are on this forum? At least 3 I'd say.
Are you originally Coventrians? What's the story my moose loving friends?
Hughes? One of them players who came with a big reputation as he had a brief flurry at Arsenal and a bit part at Everton, got found out at Watford and Charlton and was abysmal here. That’s madness, JCH offers more and scores more than Biamou. He was good in his first season here. He wasn't so good after that aside from when we won at Old Trafford. Abysmal is OTT but par for the course with youHughes? Do you do Canadian lottery numbers?Love it! Had JCH to score first and us to win 2-1 plus us to win and BTTS! Kerching!

Both were only £1 bets. So £95 profit...How much did you win?
If I could only do the UK one I wouldn’t have to worry!Do you do Canadian lottery numbers?
Max has given us a few moments of brilliance & works hard every match too. genuine question , is his goals per minutes played any worse the JCH too ?I actually agree with this, and do believe JCH is better than baka and biamou..
But I think the problem lies with attitude, workrate etc...
How do you decide who to play? A player who might give you a minute of brilliance or a player who will put 110% in all game...
Unless the ability levels are lightyears apart it's a tough choice
JCH is a more natural goalscorer however he comes with a headache for the club he is playing at, it sounded like BR were trying to move him on from them in January which purely has to be down to attitude. We don’t need players like that in the squad when you are pushing for promotion
Biamou scored 2 in his last start, and against league one opposition, he hasn't started a game since.Do you accept that our style of play has a negative impact on a strikers return?
The last 4 matches Wether it be biamou, godden, Hiwula or Baka who played there (hypothetically speaking) I can't remember a time where we feed the front man directly to feet in the area... Its hard for any of them to flourish in our current system, but the team are as a whole so what do you do?
We are scoring, we are winning, how do we alter what happens with the lone striker?

Scoring in just 2 of your last 18 games is shocking for any striker, in any formation.

Ok but there is a reason isn't there?
It's not just, you're shit?
Using this logic biamou has scored 7 in his last 50 odd games which again is shocking...
But my point is we don't fees the striker at all, do we?
I think in their prime Clarke and Mcgoldrick would have ran riot in this formation
