That's still a poor area to lose a ball and it was the start of the passage of play that lead to their 2nd goal, hardly hysteria.
Everything is hyped up. “He was out of position” (he wasn’t) “He gave the ball away on the edge of the box” (Eccles lost a 50/50 in the middle of the pitch)
they're available this morningWent to buy a ticket for this tonight as my work plans mean I can be in the north Tuesday and Wednesday and ticket site says sold out! Good if true but don’t believe it, feels like a ticketmaster blip with a 2300 allocation
Dasilva is clearly targeted by other teams. Hes definitely seen as someone they can get joy against.
We do have other defensive failings though, there's no denying that.
Well it might have been Sheaf or Torp as Eccles is out near the touchline if he's in the orange boots which I think are his?Everything is hyped up. “He was out of position” (he wasn’t) “He gave the ball away on the edge of the box” (Eccles lost a 50/50 in the middle of the pitch)
For the first goal he was ball watching, for the 2 Nd goal he played a poor ball that wasn't exactly a 50/50 ball to Eccles. He's way to short for a modern full back too.Everything is hyped up. “He was out of position” (he wasn’t) “He gave the ball away on the edge of the box” (Eccles lost a 50/50 in the middle of the pitch)
It's really not. He's quite clearly a liability. When you're the one who gets mainly targeted in a defence as poor as ours it speaks volumes.
He doesn’t though. You’re just doing the football fan thing of taking a dislike to a player and blaming everything on them.

That's not where he lost us possession. He played a shit loopy ball into a shit area. With that amount of opponents around him and Eccles, it should've gone line or long.

If the opposition wins the ball from a goal kick did the keeper give it away in the box?
And “a shit area” = where our entire midfield was at the time.
It was a poor pass but people are making out it was like Rudoni vs Derby.
Been watching Gladiator?Same starting team. Grind out a draw.
Then start EMC and Saka against Cardiff and unleash hell.
There is no relevance where our midfield were at the time, it's still a shit area regardless. Rudoni makes the line run. MVE is wide, it could've been switched. I actually think JDS tries to slide it to Sheaf, but it loops up and gives Torp no chance.
Both Rudoni's and JDS passes were poor and led to opposition goals. So ultimately.......
Was a poor ball from Dasilva but that kind of thing will happen multiple times per game, you can't blame him for the goal.
Watching it back, could Milan have done more? He doesn't even get into a full sprint trying to get back. And Lati is like a statue defending the man that actually scores, he runs all the way around him.
Oh no, full stop. Do we have to say full stop after every entence, full stop.Do you actually say period rather than full stop?
Agreed. That's why I'm not on board with those saying we need to bin our defenders and start again. Our defence is poor. Every goal has several errors from different people because our defence is poor. Until that changes I’m not sure you can make too many solid judgements on individuals. We’ve seen last season under Lawrence some of these players look like different players with a proper defensive setup.

Bidwell looked very rusty. I can't see us risking him. I may be wrong though of course.4-5-1 Only changes would be Lati & Da Silva out, Bidwell and Saka in. Pack the midfield
Sheff Utd had only conceded 1 more before Saturday. With any luck we can avoid defeat. They rarely concede and score little
Screams a 2-0 defeat if you add in our frailties at the back
37% of Sheff U's attacks came down our left and 36% down our right. So Dasilva was targeted a whole 1% more than MVE!
We had a whopping 45% of attacks down their left, so Burrows must be REALLY shit.

The frustrating bit about that is he did the hardest bit nicely and got the ball under control, he had Rudoni ahead of him down the line and chose to play a ball inside, look at the number of Sheff Utd shirts ready if it gets turned over. Very naive play (although I do think having watched again Torp I wonder whether Torp needs to do better than just hang a leg, get your body in there at least)
More I watch it, the more sloppy it looks. 1st choice has to be Rudoni, line ball. I do think he gets the pass wrong to Sheaf and it ends up being a really difficult ball to Torp.

Once he moves inside he’s always in trouble as he never wants to use his right foot
Yeah he’s clearly over hit it, there’s nothing wrong with the choice of pass, people are just picking screenshots apart and forgetting footballers play in real time first person view.
It would've made more sense to make a short pass to Sheaf surely? He made quite a nice run into space and from that position could've thread a pretty straightforward ball to Rudoni. Then we would've been on the break.
There was literally nothing to be gained from passing to Torp who had Souza visibly on him.
That’s why I say it was overhit. It looked like an overhit pass to Sheaf (if that’s who is just behind Torp).
Could be. It's very overhit though. To the point where it's a good foot in front of him and at near head height.
