Don't think you went game today g
Bigi tried a few long balls soon as he came on. And most reached their destination too
If Bigi was a 5 Fleck was a 4. Either way he improved the midfield from what it was.
Feel thats a very harsh attack on Cook, couldn't fault him for the first goal he nearly pulled off a fantastic save. Second goal he could have done better with but nonetheless a decent finish by the Burton striker. Pulled off a fine save first half as well.
After a wobble in December I think he's doing ok again, would prefer an experienced keeper if possible.
He has no movement and if his passing range extends to one foot in front of him.
Personally
If his name was Connor Thomas he'd be slaughtered.
He's not the answer and he never will be. As stated his only possible use is if the team is winning and under pressure - then his trundle around the middle may be ok.
I actually thought he may have come on just to play right back. I would guess he'd be ok there as well.
However, to suggest when losing a game he's a player you'd bring in ahead of say JOB us frankly dilusional.
Says it all I'm afraid. A keeper can have a bad game yes agreed.
But a bad MONTH as you quote.
Jeez a bad month costs you promotion!!!
when are we gonna get real, we have flipping major issues.
i believe a club in this league have got Stephen Bywater in this league as their reserve keeper. Ffs.
Great question but I think you mean both goals. How?
2nd goal how? 1st goal how the fuck is Phillips a professional footballer?
Harsh on RCC for the first goal. Don't think he could have done anything more than that. Second one, yep, he shouldn't really be beaten from that angle, but don't see how you have put some blame on RCC for the second goal and none on Ramage, who was much more culpable.RCC - 5: Should've done better with both, especially the second. Pissed about too much and isn't commanding enough.
Phillips - 3: Not good enough. Nervous, clumsy and cost us the game. Says a lot we played people out of position to take him off. Should've played Haynes at LB and Stokes at CB and Ricketts RB.
Ricketts - 6: Nothing terrible, nothing amazing.
Ramage - 6: some awful distribution first half. Some decent headers and a couple of decent balls once he had a target second half. Not quick, not good as passing, but better than Aaron Phillips.
Stokes - 6: fairly solid but not one of his better games. Would rather have seen him at CB again.
Fleck - 5: excellent first half, awful second.
Vincelot - 7: Did well in both positions, needed a few more with his balls today.
Lameiras - 6: the odd nice touch but too lightweight for this game.
Maddison - 6: half decent free kick, a couple of dribbles nowhere and our best chance. But offers nothing when we don't have the ball.
Murphy - 4: poor game didn't get involved at all, was reluctant to go for the run and drifted inside too much.
Armstrong - 6: no real service.
Subs
Bigi - 6: positioning is awful, makes some mistakes but was passing it forward at least.
Tudgay - 6: won his fair share of headers, stayed in the middle and gave us a focal point a bit. But no real service.
Cole - 6: decent delivery into the box, though nothing to aim at. Not on that long.
Neither of these goals make for good viewing. Shocking defending for both
But there was probably two better options, one let it run across him and out for the corner or second play it out for a corner. RCC is best placed to see that and possibly should have helped him by being more vocal. I noted Rickets was caught in possession on the edge of his six yard box, in the first half, with a player coming in behind him. Rickets had a right go at RCC for not giving him a shout.
With that one, the whole stadium shouted as did RCC as he was pointing to get it out at the same time.
I think people are overly harsh on Lameiras and his rating. I was in the Lloyds Pharmacy stand not too far from the away fans (like a morgue over there) and had a good view of Lameiras in the first half as he spent the first half hugging the touch line like a wide player should.
But I lost count of the amount of times he could've got the ball only for Phillips, Fleck, Vincelot, Ramage or Ricketts choose another option. Must have been about 5 times when they could've put a ball over the LBs head for Lameiras to run onto and get in behind their back four.
You could tell how frustrating this was for him so I'm not surprised he didn't have his best of games. He's got a great touch and looked OK. I felt sorry for him.
Saw Lorentzen at half time and after the match. Looked to be walking freely and free of injury. Same for Willis as well actually. Hopefully neither are far away from a return...

Agreed. It can't help Lamieres that he never gets a run in the side - played against Bradford, the dropped for 1 game, then brought back in and MOTM against a physical Sheffield United side, then dropped for 1 game, then brought back in played ok against Oldham, then dropped for 3 games, then played again yesterday.....

Strange but the video highlights don't show RCC pointing or shouting?
I'll watch again, I am sure he was unless it was a different time.
Could you hear the crowd shouting?
Yeah and we kept losing our tempo because we kept giving Stokes the ball out wide left in our build-up play and then refused to support him, so he was left on his todd and had to put his foot on the ball and then when he realised he had no support, simply just pass it backwards again.
Must have happened 4 or 5 times at least.
Well I said that yesterday. In the first half Stokes had the ball and Murphy simply wasn't coming to him to get the ball and Stokes was either forced to play it sideways, backwards or hit it long to Murphy.Because Murphy wasn't moving for him a lot of the time.

How high are you? I'm in SS.I have said enough about Murphy. But overall our movement was poor off the ball. A throw in and we were totally static. We knocked the ball around often side ways and backwards because we couldn't build momentum. That was because there was no movement ahead of the ball.
I sit quite high up because I like to look down on the whole pitch. It is no good fans screaming get it forward when there is no pass to be made. I appreciate the sentiments right, but players have to move and find the space to receive the pass. The intelligent work is often done off the ball not on it.
I thought Maddison and Armstrong worked hard to make things happen, but we were all too predictable yesterday.
