Prices rise from January 2nd.

National Express who run buses in Coventry have announced a 6.5% price increase in fares, making it a touch dearer to get to a Coventry City home game or around the City for work or leisure for those who have to use this form of transport.

Starting on January 2nd 2011, the current £1.50 fare will increase to £1.60 and a Daysaver from £3.20 to £3.40. The Evening Saver has been scrapped completely.

A Family Day Saver has also gone up from £7.50 to £7.80 per day.

Personally I think this is diabolical, raising the ticket rices again. I no have to get the bus to and from almost every Coventry City game, I need to get them back from school, i need to get them to go out with friends.

They are raising the prices again, and n doubt they will go up again. They are never on time either. It's a joke, this Country is a joke.

Doesn't really affect me because I've got a years pass, but these prices are ridiculous for the shit service you get!! Have a word trading standards!

In comparison here in Turin: €1 single, €2.50 shopping ticket (valid 3 hours), €3.50 day ticket or €9 for a weekly.

Down in London where i live now, the buses are cheaper (with an oyster card, anyawy) and the services are a million times better! I hate getting on the bus when i go back to Cov, always end up getting faffed around.

Does anyone know how much the Match Day Saver's gonna be now?

Can slowly see my day out to Cov costing over 10 pounds a time lol (didn't go today due to the snow!)
