They shouldn't but they clearly do.And that's the issue. Why should th Council care about Wasps? They've never cared about the indigenous football club.
Looks like once all the voting & arguments have finished it will be St Andrews. The Butts is the dream for the majority of city fans I'd say. I'm not sure on the 4G pitch situation, whether it's happening or not, but the pitch is known for being awful and would need work regardless.
St Andrews is the next best thing and the only other ground I'd consider going to regularly. Fairplay to those in charge if these are legitimately the final 2 options.
Call me an old cynic, but with the council leaked e mail trying to block pro football there, Sharp wanting to develop site (and nedding ccc support) is this just a vehicle to point more at the council being obstructive (if) when it is blocked as being a possibility....
Looks like once all the voting & arguments have finished it will be St Andrews.
The bullshit is the Times' made-up story. What's bullshit? Cov aren't laying a new pitch or the type of pitch is prohibited by the EFL?
I probably would tbh far better location than the RicohIm sure i wouldn't be the only one in on getting a season ticket for the football and rugby club
Yes they are, this summer.Talking of pitches, aren't they putting in a new pitch, (perhaps 4G?), that wouldn't be acceptable to the EFL?
The Times is saying this morning that sharing with Coventry Rugby at The Butts is the main option after St Andrews was disqualified because it's too far from Coventry
Groundshare at the Butts. Wasps go bust. CCFC and CRFC both get promoted. Both move to the Ricoh.Would the council find land for cov RFC to build a new ground if they sold the butts to ccfc.?
Isn't the Cov united deal only for 1 year?Yes they are, this summer.
There has also been additional plans drawn up to develop the ground, installing news stands, retail and other amenities, so the groundshare could be a possibility as Mr Sharp knows it would be quids in. The only issue would be when Cov Utd play their games. Already 4 teams play there.
Who is paying for these stadiums?Would the council find land for cov RFC to build a new ground if they sold the butts to ccfc.?
Its their 2nd season there.Isn't the Cov united deal only for 1 year?
Here's the story from the online versionIt does not say that all
No mention of St Andrews being disqualified etc
Fuck me if that were to happen i think there would be a riot
They were meant to sign a 5 year deal, but that’s not clear if that happened.Isn't the Cov united deal only for 1 year?
They will need to build another tier for the away fans so we can shit off the side of it.
It's Earlsdon, just do it into a Waitrose bag and throw it.
I was talking about the Ricoh so it will be a tesco bag
Save 5p and throw it loose outta ya hand!
5: basically puts Coventry united into the pits of non existence
