Does anyone in here know Micheal Byng
Considering he built up his business locally
I assume someone on here will know him.
My concern is I get the impression following his failed email to bid for the club. That he may not be all he is cracked up to be.
My other concern is now that SISU feel they have united all entities of the club and have what they consider to be a saleable asset.
Could Mr Byng and his seemingly insatiable desire for publicity cloud the waters and screw things up.

I may be way off the mark however I think Tim Fisher was angling for a 10k ground share. Then as things progressed I think he thought worse case scenario 3k cov fans would turn up.

With his 3k cov fans rising in his mind to 6k with a bit of success. I think he felt he could ride out the losses for a season or two at the maximum in order to break ACL.
Backed by expensive legal action for the council and the charity to fight.

Since he is now facing 400-600 cov fans
Bad publicity
A minus ten points deduction making a successful season highly unlikely.
The JR has been kicked out.
ACL look like they will be serious about considering other options.

On the back of the above I feel SISU may consider a deal for the club.

The worry is the price.

This is where Mr Byng concerns me.

He in what seemed like a desperate attempt to get more publicity dropped in an interview the other day that he would like to thank ACL for allowing him and a colleague access to the Ricoh at the last minute.

I get this feeling he may pretend to SISU he can buy the club.

In doing so he may create a false economy. Then an over inflated price.

This may force a genuine buyer to pull out.

So does anybody know him?

I know his son pretty well, was at school with him. He's a pretty shrewd business man. It wouldn't surprise if the last minute pull out was a way of nt showing SISU his hand when he realised that the Golden share could just be re-issued and meant very little. However, he is definitely more interested in developing the infrastucture around the ground and using the football club as a way of getting people into the area/using the new railway line rather than having millions to throw into the club. Though tbh its a business plan I can live with rather than asset stripping. I would also expect that that should Mike be successful in getting more involved with the club then Preston Haskell IV will also be invited to the table...obviously only speculation ;-)
