Thought it was pretty good tonight - a bit Rooney-centric for my taste but otherwise ok. Pundits were fine, good analysis. And great to see Callum get a deserved goal.England games on sky are an absolute fucking joke.

Scored on his debut for England! Looked like scoring all game. Cov lad doing good, well chuffed for him.
All televised football should be free to view...I mean because I haven’t got Sky I’ve missed the last 5 games or however many it’s been. All England games should be on free to view tv.
And the FA cup final should be at 3 o`clock on a satdee afternoon, Grandstand following the coach from the teams hotels, abide with me before the game, twin towers and Maggie Thatcher sitting in the VIP box and plenty of sunshine. All televised football should be free to view...
Right or wrong, that boat sailed long ago and I cannot see it returning. I understand that everyone is not willing/able to pay for Sky subscription, but the vast majority of the population will have a pub somewhere near them showing Sky, if they are really interested and want to watch the game.I mean because I haven’t got Sky I’ve missed the last 5 games or however many it’s been. Sorry, how about "horse bolted"? You've got to be so careful on hereDont be mentioning boats
It was on sky one which i was pleasantly surprised with!I mean because I haven’t got Sky I’ve missed the last 5 games or however many it’s been. All England games should be on free to view tv.
Agree. As highlighted by coab I was being nostalgic. Dreaming of a utopian society where people can watch top flight/lower league football on the telly for the cost of their tv licence. Not sure I’d want thatcher at the cup final though...A nice thought, but more or less every single team in the Premier League and a number of the big spenders in the Championship would go bankrupt by the end of the season if that were the case. Football is a supply and demand business. Nothing will change that unfortunately.

In terms of his value, I think it's a tricky one. I'd argue he's almost 'untransferable', he's 26 so not exactly young and has two big injuries on his record. Add to that the PL is swimming in money, and you can't get a decent, established player for less than £30 million, I can't see Bournemouth selling for less than say £45/50 million. Conversely, I can't see another club shelling out that kind of cash for him given his age and injury record.
From an England fans perspective I like the idea of Wilson and Kane playing together every week.Sounds to me if he is on offer by Bournemouth lots of rumour and paper talk no denials as for where to, what about Tottenham?
At the moment Spurs would be an awful move for him. They only play one up top and that's Kane. Unless they change their system he would be on the bench for most games or played out of position. Either scenario would not be good for him.Sounds to me if he is on offer by Bournemouth lots of rumour and paper talk no denials as for where to, what about Tottenham?
Didn't Everton pay £45 million for 28 year old Sigurdsson last year?
Arsenal put in a 30 million plus deal for Vardy after the Title winning season? He was 29 i think? Only 1 good season in the premier league
Nobody will buy him in January, as he hasn't done it for a full season. If he keeps it up all season scores 20 goals, I would think someone would pay 40 million next summer... Some of the big teams need a striker either first choice or second...
Spurs need someone- but doubt they would pay
Liverpool- probably in need of a decent back up if Origi and Sturridge go.
Arsenal- don't need him
Chelsea need a good back up.
Everton- probably would pay 40-50 million as they are in need of a quality striker.
United- Nah
City- Nah...
You any idea how many pubs are closing per week in the UK?Right or wrong, that boat sailed long ago and I cannot see it returning. Yes, about 18 on average each week according to the latest figures. Doesn't change my point that most people are within fairly easy reach of a pub showing Sky, unless perhaps you live in the Hebrides or somewhere similar. I guess it depends how much you want to watch it.You any idea how many pubs are closing per week in the UK?
Can just see the stampede of Outer Hebridean Jocks to watch an England game in the local pub....Yes, about 18 on average each week according to the latest figures. BBC isn't free to view, we are force to pay a monthly / annual fee
My brother doesn’t, nor my mate Pete
Everton did, but then Sigurdsson had several years of proven ability at that level, with no significant injuries on his record.
I agree though that someone might be pay £40 million for him, however would Bournemouth accept that offer? I'm not sure they would. They'd likely have to splash out significant sums to find an adequate replacement, and even then it's no sure thing.
Ordinarily I'd argue that in this scenario, clubs compromise because they don't want to stand in the players way, however I'd imagine Wilson owes a degree of debt to Bournemouth for the past few years, and I'd be surprised to see him kick-up a fuss for a move to Everton.
A good scenario for us would be Howe moving on, and that causing some significant change and instability at Bournemouth.
