All gone quiet on his contract since he last said he wanted to stay.. His form has been deadly this season. We need this sorting ASAP anyone heard any news about it?

I'm sure there's activity going on behind the scenes, exactly how it should be. Not in public via the press. Or atleast that's what I'm hoping is the case

Eakin said that he spoke to SW prior to the game today and that he was talking to the young player's agents so yes, it sounds as if contract talks are on going.

Spot on pal. When it's "is expected to sign soon" you know it will fall through. But being a cov lad, I'm sure he will sign, then if any big clubs come in, we will get a massive fee.

Looked good again. Hope we keep him for another couple of years, still needs 2-3 years before we see the best of him. So fast and gets in the right positions, but things like his first touch & decision making lets him down. Excellent finish for the goal.

I like it when we play a long ball for him to run onto. Not one for a long ball tactic, but when you have pace in your team like he does, you need to utilise it.

Now that Wilson is the leagues highest scorer, has been seen on sky tv, should not the management be putting all their energies into getting him signed up - time is running out and I can see him disapperaing in January for an absolute pittance ( atleast with a new contract the fee could be a lot higher)

Both our front two are now in the shop window, Clarke will attract championship/top L1 clubs looking to add firepower into their squad and Callum could attract premiership clubs looking for top talent (similar to Bigi). Sadly if they come knocking with a decent bid then we may not be able to turn down. Having said that the club has said 'no' so far but as we all know money talks.

You are crazy if you think Callum will hang around with Cov, despite all their promises to fund, SISU won't be able to match championship wages and given the option of playing to crowrs of 10,000 plus or less than 2,000 at Northants then he will go, the next few years at Cov will be about survival, we will lose a load of our better players in 2014 unless we are back to the Ricoh.

Neither can Yeovil, but if Pressley can be shrewd and bring in players that will compliement the system then there is no reason why we can't be sustainable.

Yeovil the model we want to aspire to, maybe they are the exception rather than the rule, ultimately the leagues are decided by who spends the most, we have much lower income than Yeovil who own their own ground etc.. we are at the mercy of SISU and how much of the loss they are prepared to fund, reduced ticket prices the recent media bollax from Joy & Co indicate things are desperate.

Callum is more likely to go in the next 12 months than not go.

They're hardly the model to aspire to however I am pointing out that you do not need a huge budget to be succesful.

What we have to remember about Callum and we can compare him to Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo in this instance (bare with me), when Ronaldo left United for Real Madrid his record season after season had been consistent, whereas with Gareth Bale he is good, but has he been consistent enough to earn his record move to Real?

Highlighting the above is my only concern in which can Callum remain consistent from a Football point of view Callum has only had this season as a decent spell in the first team, in which we have played 11 games, Callum is doing really well and I hope he stays, if Callum then hits 20 goals and then 25 next season then you can say realistically he is ready for a bigger and better move if he wants it.

I think he'll stay.

Yeovil like Blackpool recently and Wimbledon many years ago are very much the exception. Callum will have the potential to earn more money at a club with more potential (ie plays in its own city with crowds above 2,000) Fox Danns Best Gunny Westwood all left when they had the chance, don't think Callum will be any different.

You name Gunnar, Westwood, Fox and Dann, but they were all consistent performers for us since they donned the shirt. Westwood for example had been labelled the best goalkeeper outside of the Premier League for at least two seasons before he left, Westy was consistent, Callum may move on, although I hope Callum stays, if I was Callum's agent I would be telling Callum to sign a new 2 year deal with us and prove himself with us, if Callum moves on to quickly it may hault his progress or he might just find himself on a bench somewehere.

I agree long-term possibly better for him to stay but currently he has good players around him, that could be a very different story especially if his strike partner leon goes. Money talks

Money does talk and there is no point pretending that we are excuseable from one of better players being bought if the price is right, however I would just point out that the club had enquiries from Sheffield United and firm bid's from Huddersfield for our players yet they weren't sold.

At this moment in time there is no guarantee that the player will move on, but contract talks are a step in the right direction for Callum staying put.

He is quoted in the ET as wanting to stay he is City thru and thru, and is going to sign, until the big cheque offer arrives, would be nice to think he follows his heart and not the bank balance.
