A year and a half ago Bigirimana had the world at his feet. He left City, a place he loved because the club had given him a chance, to go and earn big bucks and to play at a higher level.

Newcastle saw him as being an important member of their development squad and they loaned him to Rangers. As we know at Ranger Bigi fail the medical and was sent back to Newcastle.
About a month ago Bigi was told he could find another club. Whether that was to find a loan deal or he could go I am unsure.

As far as I know he hasn't found another club and it's becoming a bit of a mystery. I know every City supporter feel something for Bigi because of his story of getting to the City and how he asked for a trial. He is loved in the City where he still attends church, and he is an inspiration to other refugee kids wanting to better themselves.

Is he still injured?

The reason for my inquiry is I am honesty concerned about the kid. Is he facing problems because of his illness? A kid with such raw talent that he had can't surely have lost those skills, could he? He doesn't drink and I know he is very close to his family so I can't see him going off the rails.

Can anyone shed any light as to what he is doing now, PLEASE

Hundreds of players have left lower league clubs to reach the top league and failed...

Sadly I think he was very overhyped, perhaps because of his story, and because he was playing regular first team football at such a young age... Sadly I think that was more circumstantial because of how bad our team was at the time. I don't know him but everyone that does says what a wonderful person he is so I hope he can get some stability and build a career for himself but I wouldn't pick him over any of our current first 11

Yes, it is a strange situation, I know he went down to Yeovil, but it didn't work out at the start of the season.

Mot sure what his medical condition is, strange his allowed to play in English football but not in Scottish football with it.

Would I want him back here, not sure, I must admit I was one of the "not Sure" about him when he was here. but it would be such a shame if he just faded away from football.

He wasn't bad. He was 18 when he was playing for us. Nowhere bear the finished article but he rarely if ever gave the ball away. There was definately ppotential there.

It's a wierd one. People forget he played about 20 games for Newcastle innhis first season and scored also. I believe he was highly rated up there.

Next season his only run out was in the League Cup and I believe this is the last time he played for Newcastle.

Then came Rangers. They loaned about 5 players from Newcastle but only two ever played and only one (Haris Vuckic) was regular.

He is still under contract for a year at Newcastle I believe, but I have a horrible feeling that after that he may dissapear out of football for good.

Erm not sure if Simon Regis actually reads replies he just wanted to preach a sermon I think???
PUSB reply did not say whether he rated him or not personally just that many players advance to a higher level
in the game and do not make it - Bigi being one of them.

As to what he is doing - running down his highly lucrative playing contract at Newcastle......I don't feel sorry for him in the slightest
I'll swap with him and pick up his paycheck for not playing though Simon Regis if he wants to swap with me....ask him that at church for me?

Cheers

I doubt he was loaned to Rangers under the belief he was important to Newcastle, it would have been part of a deal to make Mike Ashley a bit richer.

If he's any sense, which it appears he has, he'll take all the money he can from his contract before looking to move on.

A serious question: was he any good?

He had masses of raw talent like many kids from Africa or South America but when you try to control it a lot of their talent goes. I suppose it depends on the manager and coaching staff they work under which is quite ironic because I think under TM he would bring the best out of him.

Without sounding harsh I dont really care. He got paid alot of money more than most of us will ever see and unfortunately didnt make the cut for ever reason.
i wish him luck but hes an ex player one of many and rather talk about our current players and the club than be the latest god squad hero

Was eating at Aqua near Barkers Butts after the Wigan game. Got talking to the waiter there, said he was a mate of Bigi's. They were meeting up on the Sunday, along with Arma who Bigi knew from Newcastle.

That was before Newcastle told him he could go, but he was evidently back in Cov by then.

Simon, I'm trying to understand your motivation for this post, which appears to be similar to the one where you said you were going to buy a new stadium for the team but hush don't tell anyone. it seems to me that you are either completely naïve or just showing off and this is why I no longer take your postings seriously. I apologise if I've got the wrong end of the stick so please correct me if so.

He was here, he left, end of story surely. As for his illness I don't know anything about it.
