Tommy Widdrington was watching Pompey again last night... who could he have been watching?
#CARLBAKERDAY
Coventry City Head of Recruitment spotted watching Portsmouth
GET HIM!really hope we dont sign him
Andreu in now -we should not be wasting resources on a has been (or is it a has never-been) - awaits backlash
I know twitter followers love him however, but he is not the answer
Wouldn't have been very difficult for any player coming off the bench to have added something today to be honest. After watching today's performance I think a Carl Baker in the side would have added something. Even if it was coming off the bench for the last 20.
What was the reason?Left out of the Pompey squad today and our Head of Recruitment watching them in the week......Could it be? Who cares?
What's he said?Baker's latest tweet is interesting.
Left out of the squad so he got in the car and drove home the reason he was left out is unclear atm. What was the reason?
Not sure Stevenson offered much.Wouldn't have been very difficult for any player coming off the bench to have added something today to be honest.

Kelly was shocking. It was bad pass after bad pass.Thought he offered more than kelly.
Something not quite right with this. Their manager wasn't keen to let him go in the summer and was talking him up. Apparently wasn't told he was being left out of the squad completely until an hour before the game.
I think he would fit in in place of Vincenti or maybe Jones, we have creativity on 1 side of the pitch and although Vincenti is grafting he is not by any means a 'winger' he is too slow, I still think he is playing out of position and could maybe be more effective in central midfield, Baker is capable of providing chances for others and I also think it was a massive mistake to make him captain last time he was here, I think he was guilty of over trying although if memory serves me right he is prone to giving the ball away and costing us at times...frustrating player and is it enough to say he loves our club...why would he???

Would he really be a good signing with what we have? Where does he fit into the current team or match day squad?
I cannot seem to find a place for him if everyone's fit.
I'd say so. We don't don't have many 'out and out' wingers; Vincenti, Nazon (isnt he a CAM/ST?) and Andreu are typically more central players who can play out wide. But, more importantly, he adds experience to the squad - he was promoted last season - and we know he'll chip in with about 10 goals a season!
This point is of lesser importance, but, he genuinely likes the club, you just know he'll give it 100%.
Don't get me wrong I like baker, I'd take his set piece abilities but at 34 is he really the right answer to fill a wide roll?
To me he'd now suit a more central role and we've players already here to fill them roles, so I struggle to see how we can accommodate him.
If wages become available other areas need working on more
