Surely our owners can see the opportunity before them? There is an energy and impetus about our club for the first time in many years. Great young manager, great young players, winning games, scoring goals and a good chance of reaching the play offs. Now is the time to return to the Ricoh, play in front of 'big' crowds, invest in the team, drive the club forward and ultimately, get a return on thier investment.
So SISU... Seize the day!

We have the nucleus of a squad that could get us into the Prem. This season would give them the experience. A few more players would be needed. This would get them their 20 to 30m they have put into our club plus much more. A lot of it would depend on bringing us back to Coventry and listening to Waggott though.

Waggott? really? Surely the core of the team has been raised via the academy hence nothing to do with waggot and everything to do with rioch!

Listening to Waggott ? I could tell you something I heard directly from a player which might alter your opinion of the smiling Mr Waggott

A centre half and an option on the wings is needed in January definitely.

We're 9-10 players off a competitive Championship side.

Are you saying our young players won't keep improving under Elvis? They are vastly better than just 6 months ago and getting better all season. Or are you saying they will all be sold and replaced by the usual dross SISU signings?

No, I'm saying that the nucleus of the side won't be good enough to get promoted into the PL. We're not even the best side in League One. And yes, 1 or 2 will leave in the next 12-18 months if they keep developing.

Only because the defence hasn't been strengthened as we all know it needs. You can get away with youth and enthusiasm on the rest of the pitch but defence inexperience costs you badly. For instance another two points lost today.

I don't think anyone does not realise that our model now is develop young talent and sell them on replace them with more young talent.
SISU have been fairly straight about that.

It's great to see City playing good football but surely there are better centre halves around than Clarke and Webster. Also I think Phillips should be given a run at right back. Christie was chasing shadows

I think he is right to think that perhaps this side can develop into one capable of pushing on. Not as it stands no, but many of these players have a lot of developing to do still, and more than anything it is the whole ethos around the club and the direction we are going in that suggests we have some hope at last. Who knows, it might all come crashing down, but there are echoes of Swansea in terms of how the club is being rebuilt from the ground up in the right way. Unfortunately the off the field issues might ultimately decide if it is a false dawn or not.
