Apparently Stuart Lonnell said on mentioned on the phone in that Carsley IS still registered as a player?? Was on coach on way home so only heard this 3rd party!

Unless he knows how to be a 20 goal a season striker he's not the answer to our problem

Still nice to know though that if we have injury problems we have one player we can call on if we absolutely have to.

I wouldn't complain if he is, provided he is fit enough to put in an hour or so. I know he had major surgery last season and he's going to be nowhere near fitness at this moment in time, but if we could get him back to fitness it'd enable Clingan to push further forward, meaning we could bench Bell. We do need a tackler in the middle now Gunnarsson's gone, and that's his game through and through. I was his biggest critic last season, so let this be evidence of my desperation for a solution of any kind after today...
