The Fraser Group founded by Ashley is no benevolent society and has a history of being hard nosed. Maybe (just maybe) King would be better to have a blueprint back up plan up his sleeve than being in a position of potentially being squeezed later.
Out of all of SISU’s outlandish plans the Uni tie in was least mad. The potential has been discussed elsewhere.
I’ve no idea tbh if MA still pulls the strings. In any case, we are at the whim of FG. Are there any other clubs where the stadium is not owned by them or their Council but by a FG type owner? Don’t know, but it’s a risky set up, they can effectively ar a later date hold King to ransom (see what I did there).
This brings us to CVD’s post; a tie in between King and FG. That would make sense and reduce future uncertainty.
