I don’t think we could afford to miss the income
If it's canceled I'm a bit bit screwed. Already booked a hotel which we can't change that late. Potentially gonna have a couple of sad kids to entertain that Sunday. Any suggestions for West Midlands attractions I could hit if it is off? Hotel is in Warwick. Did the Castle last time we were up so need something different. Quick Google think Hatton Adventure is close anyone been? Worth a trip? Kids 7 & 10. Might make a thread on the non Football but any suggestions appreciated
What to do in the West Midlands
As mentioned in the CBS pitch thread I'm a bit screwed if they cancel the match Sunday. Have a hotel booked for Sunday/Monday with the kids. If the game is off we have a day to fill. Anyone have any suggestions for a day out with a 7 & 10 yr old?www.skybluestalk.co.uk
Because ultimately the relations with Wasps sit at Boddy's level, he's got to do his utmost to demand from Wasps a playable pitch for Robins yet it is Robins speaking out about itWhy would it be boddy? The groundsman saying they weren't allowed in
The unions aren't the only ones going on a strike....?interesting comment
Seriously, how bad is our financial situation? You make it sound like we’re a bad month away from going bustI don’t think we could afford to miss the income
If it's off I'm going out Saturday night and digging up the road on their route.Commonwealth cycle Road races in Warwick on Sunday. I will walk up and watch those if the game is off.
I'm in a similar situation - thinking about going into Birmingham and getting some commonwealth vibe ...but would rather be watching us play football. If it's canceled I'm a bit bit screwed. I don’t think we envisaged this ever happeningBit we're going to anyway, in fact it's going to be a lot worse because it will now be a midweek fixture with 5000 fewer people, less from corporate and an EFL fine to pay.
I'm still hopeful the game will go ahead. The financial hit would be significant.

Has the relationship with Wasps soured over the last couple of weeks?
With MR only learning about the state of the pitch today and unsure if a new pitch was to be laid. I do not think this role is in placeThe comments from our former Head Groundsman seems to suggest otherwise...
INTERVIEW: Sky Blues Head of Grounds talks about new apprentice role and working alongside Arena
Unless something has changed massively since the appointment of the chap from Leicester City?
I think the main problem has been our lack of player sales over the last couple of seasons , this appears to be catching up with usSeriously, how bad is our financial situation? You make it sound like we’re a bad month away from going bust
I doubt CBS would be happy either.I don't think it's great at the moment but doubt we'd be kicked out. Wasps can't afford to do that.
Sure I read somewhere we hired the former Leicester groundsman?
It's incumbent on the owners to cover the difference then, I'm fed up of hearing about the need to sell players, if nobody is willing to pay what we want then what?I think the main problem has been our lack of player sales over the last couple of seasons , this appears to be catching up with us

Is there any news either way if its likely to be off or on?
From what I've seen on pics it just looks bare? Or is it cut up/been ripped up like carpet?

Can’t cancel surely! Inconceivable
Sounds like it already has! SBB is sounding worryingly despondent.Anyone else think this has potential to completely skew the ‘truce’ between CCFC and Wasps
Club will rightly be seething at the situation and this could open up a fresh can of worms - Could SISU withhold rent again if certain standards haven’t been met
Hatton's good but might be a bit young for them. It's been a long time since I went, though so worth a look at the site, or asking others who've been recently.
You can rent boats, kayaks etc. from either St Nicholas Park in Warwick or next to Jephson Gardens in Leam. St Nicks has a mini fair ground as well and its a decent spot.
Mad Museum in Stratford is decent and it's in the middle of the town centre so you can mooch along the river after. Loads of Shakepeare shite as well if that's their thing!
If they like swimming, the Wave in Cov is good but not cheap and the queues for slides can be a bit sh*t. Newbold Comyn has a decent pool and there's a pub opposite with a playground.
DM me if you've got any Qs about any of that. My two are 11 and 9 for reference. Hope none of it is needed and the game's on, mind!
If anyone wants to get irate before they go to bed take a look on the London Wasps forum, arrogant bunch of bar stewards
