I haven’t heard his interview and if that’s what he has said we are not to blame, strikes me it is wholly down to the CWG.Have you heard boddy interview on cwr he said that they wasn't allowed in for three weeks to see it as the stadium was on cwg lock down, so surly u cant blame our side on this.
They are common. Excluding Ice Hockey matches, Nottingham Arena (hardly a staple venue compared to 02 Arena, NIA and Manchester Arena) has 32 concert type events between now and Jan 1st including Westlife, Rod Stewart and The Sugarbabes. There's not a single concert at the CBS in scheduled, just random exhibitions (not many either).
I have no idea how much money you make hosting those events but it's empty for half the year.
“I was at the EFL awards recently and I spoke to a number of older club owners and they asked, ‘Tim, what are we going to do?’” Fisher tells The Athletic.
So Warwick Uni are also lying?
I am sure that is deep and meaningful if you are tuned that way but I don't understand it
Technically they didn’t lie, because nothing was ever said about work actually commencing. As far as I can recall.
It’s from Tim’s last interview he did
The statement at least indicates there is a proposal between WU and SISU
As to a start date as one has not been given there can be no lying on this point
Someone on twitter has asked Gilbert for an update so hopefully as a big ccfc fan he will do some research.Joy needs to come out now and update us with the warwick uni facade. Either stop stringing everyone along or get moving with a shock new stadium
Pretty much every concert falls into one of two categories, either venue hire or a bought show. They are common. 2 years ago - should be due an exciting update any day now
Re-laid is the better spelling, the club is being fucked by Wasps daily!Call me Mr Picky, but the correct word and spelling to use is "re-laid" and not 'relayed'.
No what I am saying is if he had doubts about the pitch he could have found out.So what you and , I think Grendel are saying , is that, no matter that ACL didn't replace the pitch as promised, no matter that the Rugby 7 s trashed the pitch, it's all the club's fault because Boddy didn't sneak in and carry out a pitch inspection
No what I am saying is if he had doubts about the pitch he could have found out.
Ffs it was all over here and Facebook and he finds out about it on Friday really?

All of those quotes were well before Warwick Uni came on the scene. So Warwick Uni are also lying?
We’ll that’s it in a nutshell, unless the pitch is being worked on now we won’t get hold of it until the 14th, two days before the Wigan game, could push it back a day perhaps to the Wednesday but not a lot of time to get it sorted.Meanwhile, a spokesperson for the Commonwealth Games said they had signed an official tenancy agreement to use the stadium from 8 July until 14 August.
"After a contract was agreed for Coventry City Football Club to return to the Coventry Stadium, Birmingham 2022 was asked whether it could accommodate CCFC matches within our tenancy," they added.
"To assist the football club, we rearranged our derigging schedule to make the stadium available on 7,10 and 14 August.
"It has been a busy summer at the Coventry Stadium, and as has been planned for several years, we were pleased to stage rugby sevens matches at the venue on 29, 30 and 31 July."
Coventry City v Rotherham United: Game off because of 'unsafe' pitch - BBC Sport
Coventry City's Championship game against Rotherham United on Sunday is postponed because of an "unsafe" pitch.www.bbc.com
Interesting article about the pitch and that it was relaid in 2020 bt wasps only installed a full grass pitch not a hybrid hence how crap it was in 2020
Explains a lot in this tbf.
Hence why villa turned it down. When they signed the contract city weren't there so it wouldn't have affected wasps too much. Problem comes from false promises since thenSo because the Commonwealth have it, they won't allow the pitch that they ruined to be looked after? Who's bright idea is that?
I'm really surprised why more vitriol is being poured on the doorstep of The Commonwealth Games - they SHOULD have played it at a fucking rugby ground where there is no footy played
But 7s doesn't fuck the pitch like the 15-a-side game does. There were a lot of them, but they only last 15 minutes FFS
I assume plan C (D? Z?) for Wasps would be too sell the lease to whoever would take it and use that money to survive and move to a smaller stadium.Do you honestly think we can make the stadium work when everyone else has failed?
Also I don’t see the rugby club being liquidated and they have a 50 year sun lease on the stadium
