That’s not a planThey and we have no money to do anything I’m afraid
We have to rely on their 2 groundsman , basic equipment and hope
But they have more than enough time to rectify the pitch before their first game. Without being played on the pitch would be back to perfect condition before 17th September for their first home game. The thing is, Wasps will need a safe playable surface as well for when their season starts, think a lot of people are overlooking this fact when they say they couldn’t give a fuck about it.
The fact there’s been an independent agronomist inspecting the pitch and deeming it unsafe will have them a lot more worried than before.
It’s nice to see the master plan devised by CCC and Wasps behind our backs is finally coming to fruition. Those fuckers at the Council House have been surprisingly quiet
No it isn't, you agree with Wasps that given they can't invest in the pitch you will invest some of the rent in it, no court needs to be involved in basic commercial negotiation

Hmm, that's a big generalisation. In this instance, it's difficult in my view to make a case for it, but there are instances where it's entirely appropriate. No way should a local authority be giving a private enterprise a bail out from taxpayers money

Well, given a sports club is a cultural asset, so assisting them in getting a ground when they run into financial trouble, rather than making it a business deal first and foremost. Further to that, making sure the rent is not set at an eye watering £1m+ commercial terms but something more realistic in order to help the sports club survive and thrive, as you recognise the benefits a sporting club with heritage brings to the city, assisting them with purchasing land with training facilities to improve the club's standing, and therefore the city's profile...Such as?
Accepted then, but when said sports club is practically insolvent, who in their right mind would give them £13m from public fundsWell, given a sports club is a cultural asset, so assisting them in getting a ground when they run into financial trouble, rather than making it a business deal first and foremost. The list can go on.
Yes there's a few oddball Wasps sympathisers in the fanbase. Usually slightly mentally challenged.Literally just seen somebody say (A CCFC Fan)
"Why would Wasps fix the pitch for SISU when they want to own the stadium"
State aid for sure and back to courtI know demonstrations, banners etc. have been poo-poohed on here but surely we've got to do something?
At the very least to apply some pressure on all parties and provide some more negative exposure? I'm slightly concerned that the WMCA might bail them out with the £13m for the "good of Coventry's sporting clubs".
I wonder if the rugby league world cup game should be moved to another stadium and that date freed up for CCFC to play one of the postponed games.
Look we've done it before and sold players while we were in Northampton that was a gesture I think with nothing back.We should relay it and not sign players..
Fucking next level bollocks

Tbf that organisation might just decide it's not worth the risk due to all the publity regardless of whether it's a good pitch or not. Can't see Wasps agreeing with that. They probably want every penny they can get. We're clearly not a priority
We’re playing Stoke away the day after. The game is on a Friday.I wonder if the rugby league world cup game should be moved to another stadium and that date freed up for CCFC to play one of the postponed games.
What a dickheadLiterally just seen somebody say (A CCFC Fan)

Wouldn't wasps have to agree to that, i can't see a cash strapped business agreeing to offset rent against a new pitch. If they can't do it we should have done it and offset the investment against the rent

Although I did build a huge Lego stadium when I was, what, 10? 11? Couldn't bring myself to take it down, left home and when I came back to visit my bastard parents had dismantled it!This shit hardly ever happens in subbuteo....
Better that than being litigated for the rest I think.Wouldn't wasps have to agree to that, i can't see a cash strapped business agreeing to offset rent against a new pitch.
