Stick with me on this.
Just realised that CCFC is like any other failing club/society/church/mosque in our towns/villages. To stop the decline you need guaranteed entertainment and/or value for money. CCFC cannot guarantee any of these things, and are a long way from ticking both boxes.
It's like having an amateur dramatics club in your town that charge £12 a ticket for something that is probably going to irritate you, on the other hand you have We WIll Rock You available at £20+ a ticket but an absolute stone walled couple of hours of entertainment.
The only thing CCFC had on their side was that 3pm on a Saturday is a barren time for entertainment. That was until the case allowing pubs to show 3pm games on a Saturday it might not be so clear cut.
The day we play forest for example, you could plan it like this:-

1245 - Liverpool v ManU
1500 - Man City punish Villa
1730 - Chelsea v Everton

This is sat in the warmth of a pub instead of sitting in the cold punishing yourself up at the Ricoh. All in all you could have a cheaper day in the pub and get mildly merry.

Just saying

Cov City is more like a Greek Tragedy with all the main characters dying agonizing deaths except the dasterdly villain who disappears into the sunset (Portugese sunset in our case) cackling incoherently to himself

The Bee Gee's song always in my head is "Fanny (Be Tender with My Love)". But that's another story.

Funny how we keep going back though!I'm really looking forward to Forest. So lucky to get a make or break game before Christmas!
