Look at how professional this looks from 1963. I'd take the main imagery from this and use it.

Coventry City FC the striker, the badge and the background with the vertical line. Looks Class.

For a bank card that you'll be using a good few years, I'd avoid any pasted low-res images and comic font as a basic rule of thumb.

The old season ticket cards looked nice, just plain sky blue with the badge on.

I love that. Our kit based on that year is my all-time favourite too, they had some real style going on in the 60s didn't they?

As someone from that era, I remember style was the brand of cigarettes you smoked. But the enthusiasm was great and I'd love to see Jimmy Hill's marketing skills in use today. That imagery is a damn fine example of cutting to the chase.
