Since the trouble with SISU kicked off I have on occasion willed on the opposition to score, siletnly cheered their goals, silently sulked when we have scored and been pleased when we have lost / dropped down the table. Just desserts SISU but somewhat counter intuitive to want your own team to lose!

Until the point he brought Jermaine Grandison on as a striker while an actual forward sat on the bench, I was sure Chris Coleman was a good manager who was just not getting it right yet.

I go so pi**ed up at a Kasabian gig once, I missed the train the next day to a Cov game.

The last ever game at HR. My one and only regret of a 33 yr life. Still, my old dear went to her first Cov game that day. Not a bad one to go to as your first.

Wasn't jealous at all of the videos she kept sending through via phone.

Not at all.

Spent my cousins wedding listening to a game against Everton on the radio. Was not happy at being forced to go a wedding when we were playing at home!

Supported Liverpool at school until our first season at the Ricoh. Used to mock all the Cov fans. Was even in the away end at HR when we played Leeds and celebrated their goals that day as my fathers a Leeds fan. Only went to the game against Norwich at the Ricoh because it was a quid a kid. Got asked to be ball boy before the game with my mate, said yes and started going to every home game. Bought a City shirt the last home game of the season and decided then that my real passion lied with CCFC. The following season I went home and away every week. Fuck sake

I went to Rhodes a few years ago. As everyone knows, being abroad on the first day of the season can be great. So I walked into the bar in my city top, only to be greeted by a huge Leicester flag and about 6 of them fully kitted out. They were ripping the piss out of everyone, including a few Forest and Bristol City fans, but their attention immediately fell onto me. I think it was the season after we played them on the friday night and there was all the trouble at Bedworth station, because once they found out i was from Bedworth their hatred intensified.

Fortunately we beat Barnsley 4-1 and went top of the league, and they either drew or lost against Blackpool. They were alright in the end, we stayed and watched Villa lose later in the evening and they bought me drinks all night.

Still wankers though.

Can't remember how old i was, probably about 13...
It was a about 2.45 on a Saturday, and I walking to the shops right by the Grapes pub on the Radford Rd.
Cov were playing Liverpool that day at HR and a car stopped (full of Scousers) and this lad shouts "Ere lad, where the f*** is the shitty Cov ground?" (or something to that effect)
So i point up the Radford Rd and say... "Just carry on about 9 or 10 miles that way and you can't miss it"

The thing is, I had only sent them in the direction of Corley and not towards town!!!

Still feel bad about that today....

Had a kids season ticket for a few years at HR until got caught one game. Missed next game then used it for rest of that season. Decided to pay full price after that.

I gave two tickets away to my mate. They were for the very first game at the Ricoh (QPR?). He was absolutely skint and I had won the tickets at a works raffle. They were for one adult and a child. He took his young son along and had a great day. I missed the game due to work anyway. I still have the stubs somewhere

I remember the first time it ever happened to me. I was really young and we were playing Blackpool in the FA Cup at home. It was 1-1 and right into injury time. I left the ground, heard two roars and when I got home I found we won 3-1.

Did that against gillingham at HR. left in injury time with score at 1-1, heard 2 roars as walked up the street and found out later it was 2-2. Called my mate a prick and went for a pint

Would agree with this. Once the BHA fans got talking to me, past the initial ribbing about our league position they had a lot of sympathy for what was going on. The Southampton fans after we lost 4-0 were even better-I couldn't walk anywhere in Southampton after the game without people coming up to me and saying what a class act our support was. Reminiscing about last day escapes (which I could just about remember) in the top flight, hoping for better times and so on.

Normally watching us get stuffed 4-0 would have me in a huff for the rest of the day, but not then.

Marcus Hall at right back against Cardiff in a midweek game was a particular highlight. I swear Ross McCormack was laughing at him as he breezed through for their second goal.

We finished 17th or 18th, yet still had 2 players in the PFA team of the year!

If the rumours are true, all the decent players he did sign (yet fail to gel into a team) were from our scouts. The only one Coleman actively went for and chose was Freddy bloody Eastwood.

i appeared on match of the day at a Forest v Cov game. every cov fan had to sit at the back of the stand behind the goal (i cant remember why now). Collymore was giving us loads all game, and then he scored and stood behind the goal with his hands up looking at us. I can be seen as the only person running down the stairs towards him giving him the fingers.

Only time i have ever been on tele. :facepalm:

On 'Premier League Years' for the season where Blackburn win the title about the only thing I can remember is a guy behind the goal swearing in slow motion as Tim Flowers lets one in.

Often used to sit behind the Goal east stand HR ,and dreaded match of the day highlights In case i was giving the V's with my 7-8 yr old daughter next to me.

I once headed the winner for City, into the West end goal at H R. Mind you, this was some 7 or 8 hours after the final whistle of a game we had actually lost.
Lots of commiserating post match alcohol and a wheelie bin stuck up against the sky blue stand gate in Thackhall street aided me in this "achievement". "Goal" duly dispatched, I milked the crowd's wild applause as I set off towards what were the early stages of the new east stand project which would facilitate my quickest route back home (I'd left the wheelie bin outside, remember) Half way across the building site, I impaled a foot on a nail sticking up from a piece of wood.
This injury, coupled with the realisation I would be 28 later that year meant I would never again reach that brief, dizzy height.

Had my picture on the front page of the telegraph running across the pitch from the Sky Blue Terrace into the West Terrace at a match against Arsenal in the early 80s. A load of Arsenal fans had appeared amongst us intent on trouble and I thought fuck this I'm off along with a load of others.
