Ridiculous! And I've just been listening to Talksport where someone has just said 'Liverpool said they had money to spend and were going to strengthen and they simply haven't.'
They just spent THIRTY FIVE MILLION on Oxlade-Chamberlain and it's just been dismissed as cattle feed.
Yep, and the presenters then talk about lower leagues like it's the same.
I was talking to a Newcastle fan yesterday, he was saying how Ashley hadn't bought them any players this transfer window and it was a disgrace and all the fans are going to kick off. I asked him about Murphy and the other foreign players he had signed and he said they were during the summer and not in this window.

Wish they would do away with the window altogether. It was much more interesting when random transfers could just happen at any time. Failing that, close the window before the season starts and then reopen it briefly in January.
It's been a weird transfer window. A load of players in nice and early, no reliance on loan players to prop us up and a few players I'd expected to go in Willis and Stevenson are still here. On paper it's the closest we've come to competence and organisation in several years, just need to get cracking on the actual results side
Quote from Robins on the Sky website about the signing of Davies:
Coventry manager Mark Robins said: "I am very pleased to complete this transfer and to be able to add another quality signing during a busy transfer window, and I'm grateful for the additional support from the club to do this."
Just sounds to me like Pearson was never going to sign a proper contract with us and SISU released enough funds to go after someone who was willing.
