CCFC not ENG (1 Viewer)

Ive always been a club before country man.When i'm at ricoh i go mad when Cov score,or when watching them on box.I always want England to win but feel nothing like the same emotion as when i'm watching Cov.Given the choice of England winning world cup or Cov getting promotion,i'll always choose the City.

Yep got to admit I'd rather see Coventry do well rather than England seeing as it's local and means more to us, if England are successful that means all our local rivals are happy as well One good thing about England being successful is that if we do well then more people get into the spirit of football again and more City fans will get season tickets, meaning more money for the club. I remember when the England Rugby team won the Rugby World Cup everyone was suddenly into Rugby... worst time of my life, I can't stand the sport but it just shows the effect it can have on the sport if your country does well.

Still, after last night our hopes of doing well are looking slimmer!! Absolutely awful last night, I've never seen England play as poorly as that, even under McClaren. On the positive side it's better to get the poor results out of the way early on, I think it's hard for any team to shine from start to finish but we do need to improve and fast!!

Come on England!!

I fully aggree that cov winning or losing means more than an england result, but we are not playing so i am throwing myself behind the national team. I am a proud English man from coventry. i hate seeing the world laughing at us, though we deserve it, be positive, Italy Germany and France are all going through the mill. at least we have the luxury of knowing if we win we are through, France do not!!

I'm backing them but i think it's all funny.When Capello took over all you heard was,he wont take no crap,he wont pick his faves etc.Yet Lampard and Gerrard are still in the same team.They are both attacking midfielders and to accomodate both is near impossible.Also now the players have had a moan he's decided to let them know the team well in advance,which i agree with,but if he doe'snt he should stick by his guns and not listen to player power.We just think were better than we are.And what made me laugh most of all was when Capello said he did,nt want WAGS or any other distractions around the camp,but who doe's he invite? the biggest distraction of the lot,BECKHAM lol!!

Least yer in the wc we were cheated out of it ,im very proud of my country which usually comes first over club as were always the under dogs and have great spirit but i must say i love coventry too so much so that id nearly move over there at sometime in my life i think so i can go to the ricoh every weekend.
