Pre-season message for fans

"Hopefully they understand the squad is not complete yet. There's always the temptation to bring people in just because they are available but we have resisted that temptation.

"I would ask for a little bit of patience at the start and hopefully we''ll be very competitive as we go on. We'll be competitive from the start, of course, but hopefully we'll get stronger and hopefully we can finish the season strongly."

Mogga frustrated at lack of Ricoh training

"The pitch is looking fine but I am disappointed we haven't been able to get on it to train.

"It's a bit frustrating. It's a strange scenario that we play at the Ricoh Arena and yet it's not our ground but we have to get used to that."

'Not to expect to play every game'

"Jim is one of the shining lights of a poor season last year. He's an important player for the team.

"We're trying to create a lot of competition for that position and I've told all the players not to expect to play every game because sometimes you need different types of players for different games."

Re potential Prem loans - "I don't envisage a mad scramble for players when the 25-man squads are announced.

"I think some teams have already spent their money and have no more room. We have some space still to fill."

One slipped the net yesterday

"I thought we had another player signed yesterday but it didn't happen, although we are still working on that one

"My message to the fans is that we will keep looking and trying to bring in new players."

'Finch and Lawton not quite ready'

On new lad - "I feel we don't have huge options in that area because if Fleck or Vincelot get injured tomorrow, with all respect to Ivor Lawton or Jack Finch, they may not be ready yet.

"Conor Thomas has done well but is not quite ready for tomorrow because of his injury."
